Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

The sound of someone moving within the house settles the emotions that so rage within him, though, part of him had wished that Troy wasn't home. It had taken him a moment to find it in him to reach out to Troy, the male having become a close friend in the short time they had known each other. He was entirely aware the male didn't judge him for his choice on the change, Troy had truly encouraged him to do it, even if it had gone against everything he stood for. Shrugging the thought away, he was hoping to simply see Troy, inquire about the family and see if they were ready to visit Somnia as a family. He should have known better it wouldn't be that easy.

Running a hand through his hair, he dishevels it even more as Troy opens the door, a smile spread across the man's face as he gently closes the door and meets him on the porch. Reaching out a hand, he returns the smile, though an exhaustion had settled within his eyes, as he grips Troy's hand and gives it a good shake. "Hello, my friend," his lightly accented words are quiet in the twilight. Though, he was certain the baby was sleeping, he hardly wanted to wake the little girl. It was interesting to think of the child as half vampire, half faerie... what an interesting combination. He truly needed to discuss the child with Troy soon, especially if he was allowing a child vampire into Somnia. Even if she was only half, he wasn't sure what sort of tendencies she might have and faeries tended to be a delicacy among vampires. He had seen children who had been turned as vampires and it wasn't pretty... their temper tantrums could decimate the surrounding areas in a matter of minutes.

He pushes the shudder down, he knew Troy and knew he would be a good father. He hardly thought his partner nor his child would be anything like those in the past. Releasing his hand, his hands shove into his pockets once more as that very grin spread across his face falters at Troy's question. It was in good nature and he knew that the man had no idea what had happened in the months after the change. It wasn't a conversation he was ready to divulge in and yet, he couldn't possibly avoid it, even if he wanted to. Again, he runs a hand through his hair, musing it entirely as his solemn gaze meets Troy, all semblance of a smile gone. There was, perhaps, a touch of devastation in his features, "She left," he said simply, dropping his hand to fist at his side, not in angry, merely just warding off the sadness that so accompanied him.

"I think someone cast a glamour over me, I was... convinced she was my mate but after she was changed, it never clicked into place. She was angry I had taken her choice away so she disappeared in the night. I looked for her but she didn't want to be found," he shrugs, his shoulders weighed down by the sorrow and yet, she had made his choice as he had made his. "I can't bring myself to regret that I had changed her, though I do regret she had no choice in it," he admits, his hand sliding back into his pocket. Squaring his shoulders a bit, he looks at Troy tiredly, "I did come here to thank you though, for accompanying me in finding her even if she decided to leave in the end," he reaches out and lets his hand fall on Troy's shoulder, squeezing it in a brotherly fashion before dropping it once more. "I've also come to see if you're ready to show Amelia and the child Somnia. I've finally made arrangements with the local lords, although they only grudgingly agreed, to bring in you are your family. There are conditions, I can only push them so far," he explains apologetically, but the man would indeed, hold up his end of the bargain: providing his court and their families with a safe place.
