Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He couldn't deny the red dress was a perfect choice, but then Amelia had never been lacking in the fashion department. She could also get away with wearing a burlap bag and he'd still want to get her out of it as soon as possible. She joked that she wouldn't have time to redo her hair and makeup and he gave out an appreciative groan as he watched her. "That stuff's overrated anyway." She scolded him, saying Kit and Sam were probably already on their way and he could have her to himself when they left. He licked his lips at the thought, pushing his head back as his shoulders slumped. "Fine, have it your way. Just don't think I'm going to take it easy on you when I do finally have you all to myself." His eyes grew darker with promise as he said the last part, lips tugging into a small grin at the thought of everything he could do in the playroom, as he liked to call it.

Only the mention of Tenley was enough to curb his libido, at least for the moment. His eyes had a way of lighting up every time he thought of his precious daughter. He agreed when Amelia first brought up having the sitter watch her, at least for the first couple visits with Sam and Kit. Three Fae in the same room would be a bit much for her young discipline and he had a feeling Sam would do better in smaller groups for now, anyway, at least until she learned to trust Amelia. He remembered when she told him and Kit how her powers were on the war path while she was pregnant, harder to manage and control. Once she learned there was nothing to fear from Amelia and Tenley, he was sure things would smooth out.

As he massaged her tense shoulders, Amelia admitted she was worried his brother and Sam wouldn't like her. Troy snorted and kissed her neck again lightly. "They'll love you, babe. Kit never grew to hate vampires like I did. He actually dated one in the past and it drove me crazy. If anything, I think he'll be fascinated that you got me to settle down since I was always the ladies' man of the two of us." He gave her a teasing wink. "And Sam...she's got a lot going on but she'll come around then the two of you can be besties and knit sweaters or start a book club, whatever it is you women do." He chuckled. "I don't know a lot about her experience with vampires but she knows she's not in danger. Just be yourself and I have no doubt they'll be offering you best friend bracelets and foot massages in no time."

It was new, seeing this self conscious side of Amelia. She was always so self assured and confident. She finally stepped away from the mirror, proclaiming they should go downstairs and Troy waved his arm. "After you, m'lady." He said with a dramatic bow. She took his hand as she walked by, leading him down the stairs and toward the drawing room when the door bell rang. Knowing she had it handled, Troy let Amelia get the door, listening as she ushered them in and offered them drinks. When she called Sam Ms. Cassidy, he couldn't help but chuckle. He moved toward the bar to join them, giving Sam a smile and a conspiratorial wink as he walked up behind Kit. "I'm surprised I'm still standing, honestly. She packs a hell of a wallop." His smirk only grew as he looked at his fiance, his hazel eyes glimmering with affection.

He shook hands with his brother, bringing him in to clap him on the back in a brief hug before he moved toward Sam. "I'll take a double jack and coke, please, most beautiful fiance and love of my life." He said over his shoulder before stopping by Sam. "Holding up okay?" He offered softly, his brows creased with mild concern. She looked healthy enough. She was already bigger since the last time he saw her and she looked like she was eating right. She looked nervous but that was no different than Amelia. Seemed he and Kit would have to be the glue holding everything together tonight. Nothing could go wrong with that, right?
