Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

That silence in the wake of Matteo and Aiden's exit from Dorian's office was far too...heavy. In the wake of all that had occurred within that room only mere moments ago that sudden lack of sound seemed near oppressive in its own way and yet- how very loud Dorian's own thoughts seemed to become in the wake of it. His very emotions were a veritable tangle. The Monarch was quite unable to decide whether he felt he had acted rashly, or justly. Whether Sebastain had purposely been insensitive or indeed his husband had so truly never considered the implications of having a being such as William within their home. Perhaps, in one way or another, they had both acted poorly tonight and yet what an utter mess it had become! A near heavy sigh left the Monarch's lips in the moments that followed. Dorian, despite that veritable turmoil that turned heavily within himself, strove to do as he had been veritably raised to do and compose his thoughts into something at least vaguely sensible. Even if he felt so utterly lost in that moment. How he so loathed to have Sebastian angry with him, how he abhorred to feel cross with Sebastian in turn at yet the Monarch was nothing if not willing to entertain William within their house in quote the way Sebastian seemed to desire. What an evening this had been and oh how Dorian did not desire to face that veritable argument he was sure would come next. Yet too- how unwilling he was to allow that manner to drop before it had been discussed.

Sebastian, as he had near anticipated, had all but retreated in every sense. The vampire, as he so tended to do in those moments of great stress- had become all but closed off behind that shield of 'fine' he seemed to utter like a prayer. How Dorian so loathed that word when it came to but any discussion of Sebastian's feelings! It was in moments such as these, the Monarch was sure, that he so wished Sebastian might be perhaps a touch less British then he was. His lover, after all, abhorred any sort of conflict- much less its discussion. The entire British race so seemed to share that trait. One so starkly at odds with the Italian culture in which the Monarch himself had been raised. Dorian, as a result, was so often forced to force those worries from Sebastian in turn if his gentle efforts to coax them from the vampire failed. Dorian's very efforts to explain his own actions however seemed to fall upon deaf ears. Sebastian seemed nothing short of...distracted in those moments. His lover's unusual lack of attentiveness prompted a frown to the Monarch's features. Dorian's own mind was near sluggish to come to that realisation of just what seemed to be distracting his husband so. His bloodied side at last affording the Fae King that understanding. Sebastian, surely, was veritably starving.

Dorian's own words paused in that moment before the monarch moved to close the short space between them, his wrist offered towards his husband then. This conversation, after all, would go utterly nowhere with Sebastian could barely focus upon it. Sebastian seemed to still inexplicably in that moment, his ardent blue gaze shifting to eye Dorian's wrist as his tongue brushed noticeably across his fang- his husband's hunger was nothing short of clear before the vampire abruptly shook his head. Dorian's own silver gaze shifted upward in clear surprise only for Sebastian to stride away from him once more and towards the window upon the opposite side of the room as if something within the inky darkness of the night caught his attention. The vampire once more insisting he was fine. That very word, this time, feeling far sharper than it ever had before as Dorian so merely stared after him in silence. A silence that seemed to persist heavily once more before Sebastian uttered a soft apology, one followed by his insistence that William was the only thing he had left from his-.

The sudden ringing of Sebastian's phone was near abrasive within that room. Dorian's gaze shifted from his lover to Sebastian's pocket as the vampire plucked the phone from within. Dorian was merely waiting for his husband to end that call. Only for the vampire to suddenly decide to answer it.

"Sebastian!"

That single word so clearly held within it Dorian's utter surprise at his lover's poor display of etiquette. The Monarch was very near horrified at such a social faux pas before the tone of the vampires voice coaxed Dorian's own features to frown once more. Her Majesty? Why on earth had the English Crown contacted Sebastian personally? Sebastian had no sooner hung up that call then Dorian's gaze shifted to meet his husband's own- only for the vampire's hand to raise, his fingers pinching at the bridge of his nose- with that announcement that he need travel to England. Dorian's own lips parted and yet those words seemed all but caught upon his tongue as his mind struggled to comprehend the entirety of this night!

"Do you mean to say you intend for us to go to England this very night? What on earth for?"

There was so very much they need discuss! A trip to England, and so suddenly, would not only throw their household and schedules into utter chaos but too- was nothing but terribly poorly timed in the wake of all that had happened this evening. How utterly confused the Monarch appeared in those moments before his features so abruptly frowned once more. The very wording of Sebastian's sentence seeming to dawn upon the Fae King then. His voice, this time, far quieter.

"Sebastian, do you mean...."

Dorian moved to take a singular step forward before pausing once more, the monarch so seeming to think better of closing that distance between them when Sebastian had hardly seemed to desire it.

"Do you not desire me to...come with you?"

Those words were nothing short of soft. Dorian's throat near inclined to feel heavy at their utterance. In all the time they had been married they had never travelled abroad without one another. Surely Sebastian was not so furious at him as that was he?

"Are you truly that angry with me?"

How very dejected those words surely sounded!
