Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

deep breath in and i come alive, it's a feeling i'll remember for the rest of my life
~ ~ ~ ~

Together, closer than they have ever been to one another in every sense, they lay there in that bed with only the sound of their breathing, ragged at first before slowly starting to steady, filling the quiet enveloping the room touched by soft silver light. Slowly, the fierce and all-consuming flames of desire that only moments ago had been roaring like wildfire burning everything in its path begin to calm and quell, relinquishing their hold upon the fae couple. Instead, they shift now into something warm and soft, protective and gentle like that of a glowing hearth. How she would have stayed trapped in this moment for the rest of her immortal life, relishing in the feeling of his skin presses against hers, the sensation of him as he lingered there within her depths. She wanted to stay there, wrapped in the fae man and his scent, all too content that he hardly seemed keen on ending this moment between them. He was the first day of spring, chasing away the endless winter that once clung so tightly to her heart as Lani sought to simply numb the pain of those memories. In a single evening, the broken pieces of her soul she thought she'd buried so deeply within herself in some futile attempt to separate herself from all that left her feeling utterly lost, wandering hopelessly, had come surging forth with the flood of each emotion that washed over Lani like saltwater waves, reminding her every moment that passed why it was that she'd fallen for him those three years ago. It was as though his touch, his lips, his love had been the summer rain breathing life back into those nearly forgotten and abandoned parts of herself, soothing and cleansing as she surrendered wholly to everything he made her feel. Not a trace was left of those crumbled walls the fae woman had built to keep herself away from it all. She was tired of running, of fighting... of hurting. She wanted only to know the way she felt in this moment as they lay together in a sea of rumpled sheets, wanted to let the affection with which he gazed down upon her wash away all the heartache she'd ever felt.

Just three words... spoken so very softly in midnight tenor tones like a sacred secret meant only for her... and the world seems to stop. In a single breath, the three years she'd spent as nothing more than a hollowed vessel for the soul she'd been once suddenly shatter like glass, the pain which had plagued her days and nights for so, so long losing all its impetus. Just as a dead leaf is swept away by the swift-flowing current of a rushing stream, so too does the anguish she was once a slave to under the overwhelming force of emotions crashing over her, that slender hand upon his cheek pouring every drop of his love and devotion into her own, filling her heart so much that the fae woman feels as though it would burst. All this time, he had loved her... She remembers how there's once been a time in her past where she'd tried to convince herself that he would never feel the same way for her as she did him, even as those feelings for the fae man only grew stronger as time went on. Looking back to those days she'd warred against the love trying to blossom within her, remembering the morning where she'd been prepared to push him out of her life entirely, Lani sees how foolish she had been allowing herself to give up on those feelings. No, she hadn't known any better then, but she sees now that she never should have given up. How completely cruel fate could be, and yet, as she stares up into the face of the one she'd never been able to stop loving, she understands how none of it mattered now. All the fae woman can do in this moment is search his face, drink in the way his hazel gaze so full of affection holds hers of baby blue like there'd never be a drop of water or wine to touch her lips again, as though she was seeing the very first sunrise to paint the horizon in bright shades of pink and gold. Lani wanted to commit this exact moment to memory, and as he shudders under her own profession of love, turning his face so that his lips press tenderly against the palm of her hand, she knows that there would be no forgetting tonight.

There would never be a kiss so tender, so loving as the one his lips capture hers in then. Baby blue eyes glitter with tears that threaten to fall, the very depths of that love very nearly drown the fae woman, but they subside as he gazes gently down to her, murmuring so intimately as he lifts his strong hand to her face so that his finger brushes slowly across her fair-skinned cheek. Again, his gaze is set entirely upon hers in that wordless silence seeming to stretch into forever, though it is far from uncomfortable. Truthfully, Lani could have remained there with him just like this for the rest of their immortal lives, but soon his tenor tones reach for her, his hazel gaze seeming to release every burden they'd ever kept hidden from the world. She can feel the guilt and grief he'd carried all this time in his heart, the pain that he, too, had endured in those three long years. It was nearly enough to steal the breath from her lungs in that moment... and yet, she takes it from him, instead sending through her hand all the love and understanding that each heartbeat could sing of. He offers a weak simper, and she answers with a gentle, affectionate, and forgiving smile."If not for you, my love, we never would have had this moment", she whispers lovingly, that hand upon his face moving so that her fingertips slip into his tousled dark hair, baby blue eyes eternally soft as she look up at him."Please, Andras... allow yourself forgiveness, and know that not a day has gone by where I stopped loving you, nor will there ever be...", she murmurs to the fae man, dark lashes blinking ever so slowly over baby blue as they subdue the tears once again threatening to fall. There was no changing the past, this much she has always known. If anything, the fae woman was now almost certain that her fate had been written long before the night she lost her mortality, walking through the golden fields between life and death, only to have his voice be what had guided her back.

He moves a strong hand, forefinger brushing first against blush-colored lips before trailing to the delicate point of her ears, the sensation sending an instinctive shiver through the blue-eyed blonde as her smile shifts into the shadow of impish delight. She mirrors his gesture, baby blue eyes glittering."You tell me", she whispers back, as though sharing a secret with the fae lord, her core immediately sensing the stiffness returning to his manhood, those smoldering embers of their lovemaking flickering at the back of her consciousness as tenor tones dark and hinting of the desire that was a single teasing gesture or word away from igniting all over again. Not that Lani would complain. He presses himself into her lightly, her own soft moan joining his in harmony, a wicked grin adorning his lips and dared by her own smile, a fusion of sultry and sweetness that only blossom further at his next words, the fae woman stifling a wistful sigh of longing as he finally pulls away, though it is short lived and instead replaced by a bold smile."So very kind of you. Although, I have to say, I very much look forward to what dessert you have in mind", she purrs daringly, batting dark lashing teasingly at the fae man as he moves to stand at the foot of the bed now before moving across the room and disappearing for only a moment into the bathroom. Sighs with utter content, the fae woman lingers there, hardly wanting to leave that bed of his, but the sound of his approach has Lani sitting up on her elbows, eyeing the cloth in his hand. He kneels before her on the bed once more, pressing the warm and dampened cloth to the skin on her neck, pulling a blissful sigh from her lips as he moves it down her slender frame, between her breasts, across her stomach, and finally to her womanhood. That very nearly massaging motion as her head tilting back in delight, disheveled locks tumbling around her among the sheets as he purrs, and then growls out his claim of her, the very sound of it entirely pleasing to Lani. Just as she was his, he was hers...

Again, she has to stop herself from pouting when he's finished, standing back up and tossing the rag to the ground somewhere near where their clothes surely still lingered. His words have her giggling, a mischievous expression dancing across her face as he crawls up to place a kiss on her lips, her own eagerly meeting that light and loving gesture before he places one equally soft upon her forehead, baby blue eyes watching as he stands once more and walks over to the dresser, having noticed entirely the small frown he'd given."It's alright, lover, you can take it off me later", she says cheekily, sitting up at the end of the bed and shamelessly enjoying the full sight of his naked form. When he pulls those familiar sweatpants from one of the drawers, she smiles coyly at the fae lord."I plan to wear those by the end of this weekend, just so you know", she calls after him, her voice bright and impish as he disappears around the doorway, the fae woman hardly trying to hide her intentions now. What was there to hide? She hardly lingers on the edge of the bed long before stepping lightly across the bedroom floor and retrieving a white button down shirt that only just covers the place he'd thoroughly ravaged. She notices a weakness still lingering in her legs, but it's hardly enough to keep her from slipping out of the bedroom and down the stairs after Andras, whom she could now hear stirring within the confines of the kitchen. Running slender fingers through tousled blonde hair, she appears at the bottom of those stairs to see him focused on the meal he was preparing, though likely not for long."What do you think? Sexier than the black lace thong?", she asks, an impish smile dancing upon blush-colored lips as she stands beside the counter, leaning forward to place her elbows on the polished stone surface and cradling her chin in her hands as she blinks long lashes over glittering baby blues."So, other than each other, what's on tonight's menu?", she purrs sweetly, glancing curiously over the ingredients laid out on the counter top.

Truthfully, she would have just settled for something fast like a bowl of cheerios, but she had a feeling that Andras, the Fae Lord of Sacrosanct, wasn't about to have those in his cabinets.
