Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

Henry had already told himself he would stay for a couple of days, or at least until his ex was able to care for himself. Truthfully, Henry wasn't really sure how long he would be weak. In the moment, it had slipped his mind to even ask such a question from the witch. Regardless, he wasn't going anywhere, at least not tonight. Henry had already told himself that as soon as Sterling was fast asleep, he'd slip into the guest room so he would be close in case Sterling needed him.

The soft thank you had him smiling softly as he looked down at Sterling as his hands expertly "tucked" him in. "You're welcome." The words that left his lips were not the ones he wanted to say. He wanted to tell Sterling that he would do anything for him. He'd jump in front of a moving train if Sterling had asked it of him. But such words were complicated and honestly, now was not the proper time to hash through those feelings. Not tonight, at least.

What he hadn't expected was for Sterling to ask him to stay, his body language asking him to join him in the bed. Henry should say no. He should maintain his distance. And yet, his heart once again took over. "Alright, I'll stay." His words came out unchecked and before he could even realize what he was doing, his clothes were in a small pile on the floor and he was pulling the covers back. Sliding into the bed, he settled in the bed, unsure if Sterling wanted to be held. Henry had always loved spooning his boyfriend, especially after lovemaking. But there was no lovemaking tonight. There was no sweet moment. So Henry laid close, but maintained space for now.

I will rise a thousand times again
