Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I look hesitantly between Raven and the fire blazing in the hearth, not sure where I should be looking. I've never been comfortable with quiet moments where you can just be with yourself, not indoors anyway. I was always wandering around outside, looking up at the stars and picking out the shapes of clouds. Indoors, I don't know quite what to do with myself. Raven looks comfortable enough, perched up with the book in her lap. i've often wondered what kind of enjoyment she gets out of those but I've never had the nerve to ask since I couldn't read even if I tried. That wasn't considered an important skill in our pack, not as important as staying fertile for when you take a mate, anyway.

Since we're not saying much, I take the time to stare into the fire and listen with my keen ears. I can hear Isolt in the room, rustling as she removes her clothes before stepping into the shower. I can hear the water as it runs over her and when she finally turns it off. I have no set time of how long this is taking. My mind is seemingly blank, all my other sense numb as I just listen since I don't really know what else to do. I am distracted momentarily as Raven looks up at me and tells me that she knows that I'll do better. I offer her a smile, wanting to reassure her that I will indeed. I nod in agreement. This is definitely different, but my words stay to myself as I turn my head toward the entrance, somehow sure that Isolt is just on the other side.

I wait, looking back toward the fire as she finally walks into the room. I don't want to make her uncomfortable by staring but I do look up to return the smile she gives me. I try to make it more friendly this time and I will admit, it's easier when she's not covered in blood. She makes her way toward the fire and settles herself on the floor. I tilt my head, somewhat puzzled by her location but to each their own. Maybe she's just really cold. Her hair is quite beautiful from this angle, with the blaze from the fire radiating off of it. It really brings out her color. I'm almost mesmerized by it but I blink when I hear her talking to Raven, saying something about the robe she's wearing. Raven waves it off and I return my gaze to the fire, though I do look up again when Isolt speaks once more, this time to both of us.

Raven answers her, saying that she's not a bother and she can stay as long as she wants. Wanting to show her that I'm true to my word, I nod in agreement so Isolt can see me. I try to look more convincing this time.
