Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

here comes the raven queen

Vhalla is exhausted. The whirlwind of emotions that had plagued her since the beginning of the night were beginning to catch up to her. The exhaustion could be seen in the slump of her shoulders and the dark circles that colored her face. Yet, she does a splendid job at hiding it from the faerie queen even when she sits back down at the counter and wraps her fingers around the mug. Sam's comment almost makes the assassin start as her blue eyes travel up to the fae. "No, this is fine. Thank you," she pauses briefly after tightening her grip around the warm material, "It's been a long time since someone has done something for me," Vhalla murmurs mostly to herself in her tired state. It is the next words the faerie offers that sends a small bout of laughter echoing in the kitchen.

It wasn't at all what the assassin had expected and attempting to picture this innocent woman doing anything, well naughty, caused a tired smile to creep along her face. "I suppose that could really be a problem," Vhal laughs again more quietly this time. And then Sam is brushing off her apology as if it were no big deal, then again the woman had no idea the assassin had been fully prepared to kill her to protect herself. Without answering, Vhalla slumped farther in her seat, as if she could just disappear and let the guilt drift away.

Unfortunately, that was something that would never happen. The witch gives a small nod, acknowledging the queen's words. Vhalla was aware of the supernatural creatures that roamed this city had some very special abilities. She wished there was a way to pin point those particular individuals so the woman could stay as far awayas possible. Sam suddenly draws Vhal's attention back to her as she tells her that the faerie trusts her. It was hard for the white haired woman to believe her, yet she had no reason not to. Sam could feel her emotions, if the faerie knew the assassin was going to kill her, Sam easily could have evaded her.

Without answering, Vhal tightens the grip on the mug with almost shattering force but she manages to control her emotions as Sam continues to offer her home up. It's an overwhelming sense of grief and uncertainty that floods her there was absolutely no reason for the woman to be so kind to Vhalla, and if the woman didn't know any better she might have cried and begged for forgiveness for her type of life she lives. Instead, she shakily laughs and clears her throat, "I don't actually watch much television I have a difficult time sitting still," she replies, "Though, I have heard Game of Thrones is rather good," she says brightly, trying to take any pitying feelings Sam might have towards her.

The assassin suddenly tenses as Sam brings up the blood splattered presentation. Releasing the mug so she doesn't shatter the glass, she warily inspects the faerie to note any sort of aggression or disgust on those innocent features. Finding none, she stays tensed but answers almost curtly, "It's not mine." Standing she walks around Sam to place the mug in the sink, emptying its contents and rinsing it. Turning back towards the fae she stiffly makes her hands stay by her side without fidgeting, "Are you sure you wish for me to stay? I can manage on my own from here," she comments, giving Sam a last chance to kick her from her home.
