Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

There was a decidedly bitter tone that Vhalla seemed to take when the topic was switched to that of her personal life. The empathic faerie queen was perceptive, knowing very well that the other girl was uncomfortable. Samantha couldn't help the rage and anger she felt towards this man that had trapped her in this debt. She was young, certainly younger than Sam herself - even though the faerie appeared to be a teenager - and it was clear that she had been taken advantage of by the man who had raised her. She looked over at Vhalla after her last comment, a frown furrowing onto her features. "What is he asking of you? How can I help?" The girl meant it, certainly. She didn't want the girl to be enslaved by any means, and this debt sure sounded like a trap. "If it's money he wants... I can help you with that."

The woman's generosity was interrupted by the sudden shift in the conversation. She felt almost as though her skin was crawling as she relived the situations in her mind. She couldn't help the flashbacks that plagued her. She could still see the party, the girls getting her drinks. She could remember the cold feeling of the concrete when she woke up. The rough ropes of the bonds that held her. She could remember the excruciating pain from the girls' powers that seemed to erupt for her own mind. Over and over and over again she had relived those moments. In her nightmares most often, but more recently she'd begun to relive those moments in her waking hours as though they were happening all over again.

The girl looked up just in time to see the woman's narrowed eyes flash towards her neck, and instinctively she raised a hand to cover up the scar she knew was there. It was such a faint thing, one that was hardly ever seen by anyone. And yet Samantha knew it was there. And now so did Vhalla. The look of shame was present on her features for only a brief moment before it was replaced by utter surprise as the woman before her burst to her feet. "Vhalla..." She said softly, watching the girl pace back and forth across her bedroom. Samantha didn't continue her sentence, instead just watching the woman pace back and forth until she suddenly stopped.

The faerie girl winced at the look on the witch's face, the girl tugging the stuffed panther even closer to her body. The threat that was uttered was spoke with such sincerity that there was no room for Samantha to question it. Quickly, the woman shook her head. "Vhalla, you don't have to say something like that." Her reassurance was ended quickly, the emotions of the witch seeming to soar into uncontrollable rage. She could feel the sudden heat produced by the girl in front of her, and it was that alone that had the girl bursting to her feet. She reached out quickly, fingers grasping around Vhalla's wrist. Her affinity burst to life, soothing the woman with a calmness that brought her back down to a level that would see that heat lessen.

"Calm down. I assume your power is something with heat? I can... feel it. Get it under control, or you'll burn the place down, Vhal. And I sort of need a place to live." The last was said with a small hint of a joke. Though the faerie still felt that sinking feeling of dread whenever she thought about the faerie girls, the bright optimism that seemed to always accompany the woman was still there. "I promise, it's going to be okay. I'm as safe as I can be. And I'm already immortal. The worst that they can do to me is already done." It was a lie, of course, but the witch hardly needed to know that.
