Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Raven could have been that type of her familiar if the relationship was formed long ago and she was a bit younger. Yet Raven could still be that familiar for Sera even if she didn't know it. The lupine could be a best friend to the witch. The she-wolf had protected her once within the outskirts and that was even before blood and magic could seal their bond. Though Serafina hadn't always been alone. There were times when Raven had come by Serafina's home every now and then. After being fixed up by the Witch she had a sudden need to come by to check up on the girl. She hadn't seen Serafina's mentor mistreat her before. Though if she had she would have made her presence well known by now and at least help the poor girl out. She was unable to understand why she always wanted to come back here and sit and just watch the girl, but she always felt better when she did. Yet she always made sure to keep herself at a distance. Raven still did not know much about the Witch and so she didn't want to be seen in fear the Witch would spot her and think she was stalking. Being a stalker wasn't a perfect way to develop the first coils of a relationship.

Slowly the lupine began to wake up from her gruesome haze. A pink tongue glides gently along the side of her bloodstained muzzle the taste of silver blood left a bitter taste in her mouth. Smartly framed head was buzzing with fleeting memories of her jaws snapping and breaking bones which caused the girls eyes to widen, as everything came circle. Frantically she looked for the familiar figure of the Witch pleased to see the young woman was for the most part okay. Raven did not have the capability to control her actions when she went in her dreadful state and she was grateful to see that she had not chomped on her bones. But as she turned her skull, distressed eyes widen as she saw the slump form of the dead Warlock. True, it was self-defense, but she hadn't meant to kill him. All she wanted was for the pain to stop and keep the ebony-haired woman safe from harm. A soft whimper left her as she lowered her head, cold nose nudging the girl as her pink tongue gently washed off the blood from her face. Grey ears laced back listening to the woman proclaim the man dead. Raven assumed the girl would feel remorse and anger for killing the warlock, but she hadn't felt anything of the sort come from the Witch. As Serafina ran back to the house the creature stood for a moment unsure with what to do.

One grey paw lifted to tap the dead body once, making sure he was indeed dead, before she unlocked her jaws and grabbed his still form. After carrying it towards the car parked along the side of the road she dumped the corpse on the ground unceremoniously behind the car. A sudden flash of light caused the girl to panic. The house with the broken lights flickered on. Nervous she lowered her massive frame behind the car, barely able to keep herself hidden, as her eyes shifted towards Serafina's house watching the girl watch down the steps. Hearing the pop of the trunk being lifted upwards, she would move her nose carefully, forcing the hood to open. Sinking her teeth into the Warlock's clothes she lifted the carcass up, but dropping it carefully inside the trunk. As soon as Serafina closed the trunk with her hand she would crouch low to the ground her form changing into a much smaller frame, the size of a small dog this time, brushing against Serafina's leg as she leapt through the driver's door, sitting down on the left hand passenger's seat like a perfect dog. Tilting her head to the side, waiting for the girl to start the engine, her words gently brushed through the Witch's mind once more.

"Are you okay?"

Not the best way to start the conversation from the murderer, but it was better than the car ride being dead silent.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
