Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

This notion of Samantha's torture hardly sat well with the man, his features frowning once more at these considerations she afforded him, her fingers clutching still at his shirt as if she feared he might leave at any moment despite his arms still resting around her in some attempt to do as he had seen women do for one another. His head tilts ever so slightly at her words, the man attempting to meet her gaze as she spoke of these women that so seemed determined to harm her, fear tainting her every word. It is this, for this very reason that Dorian had so forbidden any of the Fae within his own court to change another. He hardly held any notions of idealism or superiority that those born somehow exceeded those created- more so it was the very process of creation he so loathed. He knew little about it, save for the tales he had heard and yet here and now he is only assured of his own decisions in this. It is simply not within him to facilitate this amount of pain in a being. He was right- surely, to have never allowed his own court to participate in such. Though of all the tales he had heard he had hardly ever heard any that so seemed to indicate Fae returned for those they had created. To his knowledge, at least, Fae hardly held a bond to their Maker as other species did and in turn the Maker hardly seemed inclined to linger. Samantha surely hardly seeming to find disdain in having no contact with these girls. So why should they return? Why now?

"I do not...understand why you or your position would so incite the anger of these women. Why should they desire you? For what purpose? It makes so little sense."

His own features frown all the more in contemplation, the woman within his arms assuring him the human police would have no intention of assisting in this matter, Dorian assured they were entirely as useless as they had appeared to be the day they too, had failed to assist him. As to why she could not tell her suitor of this he hardly knew, perhaps she had no desire to appear weak in front of him and yet it is most assuredly within the nature of the ancient fae to believe that the fairer sex were for protecting- something to be guarded. Was it not the job of her suitor to assure her protection? Yet she chose to keep this from him.

"If these police will not help you, might we ask the Hunters? Can your friend not ask someone from this Council to guard you?"

His knowledge of Hunters, The Council and even Frost himself is a decidedly limited thing, Dorian unaware perhaps, of just how unwilling any Hunter would surely be to protect a wayward Fae when they were so designed to eliminate them. Regardless of what these Hunters might or might not do it would seem to task of her defence had fallen to him, the girl nodding readily to his suggestion of the sword, her gaze at last meeting his own as she so utters the reason as to why she continued to try to keep him within the confines of their home. The concern within her voice almost.....touching, in a fashion. It had been a long time, after all, since any had truly cared for him in that manner.

"Come, I will give you my sword, we will teach you to use it here and now and you might keep it beside your bed. Perhaps too, from now on, I shall escort you from this Work place that you go too. I understand you fear for me Samantha, I will be careful I assure you, but you need not worry for me. Perhaps it is so I find this modern world...difficult, but I have survived near six hundred years. I am more capable then you know. Come now."

He moved to step back from her, attempting now to draw the woman to her feet as he himself stood, Dorian striding across the room and towards the closet to pluck his sword from within it, moving to hand it hilt first to Samantha. He moved to stand beside her now, seeking perhaps to distract her from her tears as much as he seeks to show her just how to defend herself- his hand enclosing over her own.

"This sword is meant for a man, it may be a little heavy for you but it can be used still. Close your fingers- like this, one foot slightly forward, elbow slightly bent to balance the weight. It is a rapier, it is designed to strike from the front alone. When you stab, step forward as well, put your weight behind it. Extend your arm fully and bring it back- this is the most basic thing I can teach you for now."
