South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
The young witch climbed cautiously out of her window, pausing at the seal to glance back inside the darkened room. A light was still on further inside of the house, a light that suggested that her mentor was still awake somewhere deep within, doing whatever it was that occupied him. She stepped onto the roof, leaping fearlessly onto the grass below, her feet lightly touching the grass in the same gesture that she had done time and time again. Lately, her relationship with her mentor could be described as taunt at best, Serafina often preferring to be anywhere but home when he was present. Tonight was no different. Her held breath was finally released as she stepped onto the sidewalk in front of their townhouse, a small simper crossing her features in relief. In truth, she'd never been caught sneaking out, and being of age she wasn't sure what he'd do even if he did catch her. She tried not to cross his path too much, he was still by far one of the scariest warlocks she'd ever met. Never the less, Serafina tried not to linger on such thoughts, instead turning purposefully towards the quiet town in front of her. Where she was going there would be no loud music or nightlife to tarnish the fresh night air. Where she was going there would be nothing but silence and frankly, Serafina thought she could use a little silence.

She chose the most straightforward path from her home on the east side towards the Southern park. It was here that in hyde place that her magic came easiest to her, especially in the wee hours some preferred to quite fittingly call the witching hour. It was there, beneath the light of the moon when everything was silent that her best potions could be made, them being her only true talent to date. It was quite the sore spot for the witch. Unlike others there were no elements for her to manipulate, no spells to be cast, only the herbs and oils she could brew with what little magic she thought she had. It was a petty life for a witch but frankly it was better then going back to having no home at all. Serafina paused at the edge of the Hyde Place, her fingertips lightly brushing the tips of the wire fence that surrounded the park. A small simper crossed her feminine features as she effortlessly climbed over the fence, ignoring the sign stating the park was closed. It was quiet here today, there were no drug dealers or weres going for their nightly run. For once, it seemed like Serafina had the entire park to herself....well....almost.

"Good evening." The young woman called brightly to him, a hint of curiosity overwhelming her. While Serafina should have been utilizing the time afforded to her, while she should have been brewing her newest concoction beneath the veil of the Weeping Beech, she found herself pausing in mid step, inquisitiveness invading her slate tinged gaze. What was a man like him doing in a place like this?
