South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I can see I'm going to have to explain myself a lot around this fairy already. When I talk about something being over his head, he actually looks up and I have to bring my hand over my mouth to stifle my chuckles. He seems almost a step behind in everything I say to him so I can only deduce that he hasn't been out socialing enough to catch onto the modern slang and such. Has he been in a hole this whole time or in another country where customs are further behind the times? He seems almost victorious in his expression when we agree that it was a joke, telling me that next time we'll both laugh. I can only nod in answer, grinning like a fool myself as I try not to burst out laughing. He's certainly a character. "Sounds like a plan." I watch him rearrange his clothing though he doesn't seem to notice my distaste for the bite marks on his neck. I'm going to pretend I didn't see them for now and hope that it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.

He asks where I'm from and when I answer, he doesn't seem to fully understand. First, he doesn't know the state of Tennessee and when I name my Monarchy, he calls it by a house like it's a bloodline thing instead of a fairy group. I tilt my head a little. "Well Tennessee is more of a state within a country than a kingdom though I guess some might think it has enough stone walls within it to call it that." I say with a shrug and a smirk. "And Tuatha is just a large group of fairies based around that area. It does have a lot of bloodlines within it, my own family included, but they have grown substantially and have reached out enough that it's not just one or two bloodlines that make it up anymore. If you've never been around that area though, you might not have heard of them." I shrug again, not offended by the fact he didn't recognise my family base. It's not like they're famous or anything. If anything, we were considered the black sheep of the Monarchy because my father started working with the Council.

Of course, the talk of Monarchies and such is forgotten when I go to the rock pool to show him the starfish. He is fascinated by the creature, asking if it's alive and I nod with a smile, my hazel eyes twinkling with amusement. He is hesitant to touch it so I wait patiently, giving him my most trustworthy expression. As his hand hovers, I shake my head. "It has certain standards for what it chooses to bite and you don't fit in that category. Not that I'm sure you're not tasty to the right species." I say with a teasing wink and another lazy smirk. I watch as he slowly caresses the sea creature before he thanks me in French. I bring the starfish back to its rock pool, gently setting it back where it was before I return to him. When he asks for my name, I smile. "Troy, you?"
