South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Take Me Where I've Never Been

Well I managed to change into a horse without any problems. I also managed to walk through the corridor and not trip on my massive saucer sized hooves, that's a plus too. I can feel the need to stay away from Alex, although this feeling is much stronger than before. There were times when I worked with him in the café when I would feel a sudden urge to simply run out of the shop and down the street to get away from him. He's a Dark Hunter and I am a Were-Horse, I guess it is just that natural fight or flight instinct to stay away from a species that is capable of killing me. For a Dark Hunter he doesn't act like my Great Uncle, so I know I don't have to look over my shoulder to find him sneaking up on me and stabbing my back. Still though that feeling of being hunted hasn't really gone away. I guess since I am in this form now those desires to stay away from him only intensify, but as I stand here behind him I don't see him hiding anything from me, or showing he'd harm me. Which is good so I'm going to try and squash down this feeling of my impending doom.

With a soft snort I simply stand there as I wait for him to turn around. Unsure with what I'm supposed to do I watch him carefully, my ivory tail swaying back and forth in a lazy manner. Black ears point towards him the moment I hear him speak softly with unusual lyrics. I have no idea what he said and yet I don't seem to really care, I just know I like that tone. All those thoughts of him trying to kill me seem to just disappear, his unusual words quite comforting. As he comes to place a hand on my ebony cheek I lower my dial slightly allowing him to press his forehead against the silver of my own, inhaling his scent and appreciating these gentle touches. When he leaves a kiss on the middle of my forehead, I let out a soft nicker. I haven't had anyone do that to me in a long time, well not as a horse, but as a human. Mother used to kiss my forehead when I was a little girl, when I was sick, when she said goodbye, or when she just wanted to express her love wordlessly. I know I am not sick, or that we're saying goodbye, or that I am loved, but I appreciate the kind gesture all the same. Even though he thinks I'm going to do well, I have my own doubts.

As he moves away from me I watch him as he moves away, his hand still lingering on my black hide. As he begins to do, well whatever he is doing, I can't help but turn my neck and observe him carefully. I don't mind him touching my shoulder or my side, but when he gets to my legs I don't like that very much so I side-step easily. When he touches my hock I cannot help by use my tail to smack him perfectly into his side, releasing a heavy snort as my ears fold back slightly. I do not like being touched there, not as a human and certainly not as a horse. He wasn't quick enough to move so I smartly turn around and face him again. Gently I nudge my head into his side preferring to be petted on this side. It's when he goes towards my side again and places his hands on my spine I curiously turn my neck around tilting my dial to the side. It's those gentle unusual lyrics that calm me down a bit and so I try to be as still as I possibly can. Feeling his weight on my bad is uncomfortable for a moment, but I slowly get used to it, my neck out stretching to the side to bump my nose into his leg. I shift my weight slightly attempting to get used to him on my back, taking a tentative step forward wanting to make sure I could actually carry him, I mean just in case. Both ears twitch backwards as I feel his hand gently stroke my nape and I cannot help but release another soft nicker quite pleased with this touch. With a rough nod I alert him to know that I am indeed ready, well, I think I am.
