South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

hell is empty
Hyde park is a dangerous place to be at night, the shadows lending aid to murders and thieves, hunters and monsters seeking only to cause discord. The air is crisp and cold, the dew on the grass frozen and glittering in the light cast by a high moon. She crouches in the shadow of a large oak tree, her fingers drawing lazy circles on the bronze blade of her knife, a trinket she'd made herself for added protection, though it wasn't really necessary given the years she'd spent learning to fight with teeth and hands in the court of the Unseelie Fae. Still, she liked to keep it close, if only for amusement.

Her green eyes glimmer with intensity, her concentration focused toward the right where the sound of approaching footsteps caught her attention. She'd been stalking the fairy man for days now, lingering several paces behind him at any given time so that she might learn his behaviours, his schedules and his quirks. He wasn't easy to read, unpredictable at times, but by chance of luck or some other sort, she'd happened upon the knowledge that he might pass through the park tonight, an off chance and for reasons she hadn't been able to determine.

If she hadn't been studying him so determinedly, she might not have recognized the familiar gait. Even still, she waits until she can see him approaching, satisfied that the outline was that of one Archer Faxfair before stumbling from behind the tree, an intentional trip over the roots at its base sending her falling towards the concrete path, her knees taking the brunt of the blow with a resounding crack! She grunts from the pain, her hands not much better than her knees and stinging with little cuts from the roughness of the concrete beneath them. "Ahhh," she manages, her throat constricting from the sharp sting in her knees, her pants ripped from the force of the fall.

It had to be this way, believable, she reminds herself, rolling onto her side to pull her knees up to her chest, inspecting them in the soft glow of moonlight. She pretends not to notice him, her breath hissing through her teeth as she uses her damaged hands to peek through the tears in her pants, examining the bloody mess that is her kneecaps.

They will heal, the wounds having served their purpose, hopefully. Make sure I'm alright, dear heart, she thinks to herself, trying to will him into compliance, all the while keeping her face scrunched in a mixture of pain and anticipation.

But of course, the tricky part is yet to come - it's much harder to trick a Faerie, especially one old enough to have mastered the arts of curious wording himself.

She's got her work cut out for her, that's for sure.
