South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Miya couldn't help the fear the so coated her features as she stumbles away from Malia. It wasn't every day you watched someone morph into something completely different, though, she didn't shift all the way. The woman was very aware at how animalistic Malia had become, it wasn't normal and yet, she was finding that nothing in this city was normal. The petite Asian woman couldn't quite grasp the fact that being human was not the norm in Sacrosanct. Nearly everyone she met ended up being something other than human, it was bizarre and she still didn't know what to think about it.

Yet, Malia was, in fact, her friend and she had saved them from the harassment of those men. She wasn't afraid of Malia, not really, she was merely afraid of the uncertainty that so swirled through her emotions. Miya hated being in the dark, not knowing things, it made her volatile. So, she attempts to calm the racing of her heart, her hand grasping that messenger bag strap tightly as she quietly responds to Malia, who in turn, jests with her. Miya can't help the slight widening of her eyes, it was just all so new.

Averting her gaze for only a moment, she can feel a bit of hesitancy between the two women, something that wasn't there before. It wasn't like Malia had told her she was a shifter, then again, Miya probably wouldn't have believed her even if she had told her. Yet, the proof was undeniable, she couldn't un-see what she had already seen, so she merely needed to accept it. Finally, Miya teases lightly that at least the boys were chased off and curiosity finally blooms enough in the woman to asks to see her full shift. It was new, she couldn't stop that scientific side of her from taking over.

"Thank you, I think... well, maybe not today. I've had enough excitement for one day," Miya smiles weakly at the woman, her grip on her bag finally loosening as she starts to relax around her friend once more. "Do you practice often?" she asks quietly before several more questions pop into her mind, unable to stop the flood of words that are already beginning to fall from her lips, "Does it hurt?" another question but she manages to rein herself in, allowing Malia to suggest they get something to eat. "Sure, there's a little diner around the corner. I could use a cup of coffee," she states before finally heading off down the street, hesitantly looping her arm through Malia's. She wouldn't let this affect their friendship.
