South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Oliver Burton

Oliver had taken a week off from his empire in the city, stepping away was not out of a desire but necessity for the were-polar bear. The animalistic rage within him made it impossible to focus, and practically unbearable to be around. The bear wanted out and there was no denying that beast inside of him. To do so would wind up with someone dead and well, he couldn't afford that right now. He had all his appointments cancelled and he didn't really leave with an explanation, and perhaps as the boss you didn't need to. Everything else could be run by his trusted few, well, trusted was a loose term, this man hardly trusted a soul but he knew their motives and because of that they would not fail him. That was trust enough. So Oliver pried himself away, losing himself deep within the shaded part of wood in animal form. It was a place where the usual droning noise could finally cease to exist and he could simply be what he was meant to be. No more neglecting the creature he was. It felt good, it felt right.

The massive bone white bear moved its way to a familiar stream. A particular location he had been before, where he had once met that bundle of energy panda/ raccoon thing that had the nerve to ride him. But this place had the best hunting around where fish were concerned.. He knew the salmon populations were high due to a successful breeding season. It ran smack dab within the forest as if a clearing was forged just for it, severing the woodland in two parts. Oliver stepped over a freshly fallen branch, scenting the warm spring breeze, his nose gathering information of what passed through and what remained. It was blissfully uneventful, exactly what the man had needed. That dull ache was sated and all had felt right, except for the meager fact it was far too warm for his thick luxurious coat, even after it had thinned out some in preparation for the late spring's relentless heatwave. It was winter when the man thrived, blending in with his environment more like a chameleon, but now, he stood out stark against the dark, thick foliage.

Even amongst the giant trees, he was impressive with his sheer size and strength. His very presence commanded respect like it had in the boardroom. Even though it was a life he had chosen for himself, it wasn't a life he wanted. It was exactly what he needed in order to take control and forge a dark kingdom in which he could be one step ahead of his enemies. To keep his sister and him safe, the last of his family line. Money equates to power in this world. When one had it they might as well be a god upon a throne when sitting up in that ivory tower, untouchable by enemies that threatened everything. It was a means to protect what was his, fiercely so.

He drew closer to the stream, the perfect place to harbor the plentiful fish that swam beneath its surface. His massive paws sunk into the earth of spongy ground and decaying foliage beneath his impressive weight. Peaceful, that was one word that described this place. He would often find himself here, in those rare moments he could afford himself a sliver of cherished but fragile peace.

Hunting was like second nature to him, familiar as a shadow. The very shadows that filled his soul and haunted those dark eyes.

As he waded into the water, cool and refreshing against his skin as it soaked his coat. A rumble escaped him, that very sound unsettled the earth below splitting out in a series of vibrations within the water. It unsettled the fish, which was exactly what he wanted. He could make a fortress of sound if he wished it so. His power was to wield sound itself, a formidable power if in the right hands.

Oliver was completely oblivious to the fact that he was being watched by something or maybe more than one thing in the woodland in that very moment as a hunter lay in wait concealed by sorcery of the hunter's own making. It happened to be one of the very hunters that had hunted his family for centuries and he was blissfully unaware that his life was now threatened. His head would bring the mercenary a very pretty penny and should the hunter succeed, his sister and everything he protected would become gapingly vulnerable. How did they know he was here was entirely beyond the man, he had ensured his family's presence here was still a secret, or so he thought.

The vibrations of his voice fell to advantage, however, as a fish swam hellbent right before the death trap that was him. He moved quickly, quiet, effortless, his head buried beneath the water, his waiting giant jaw agape. The moment there was a faint whirl of water from its movement, That imposing maw snapped shut, making contact with an eight-pound salmon, he sunk in his teeth, its body flopping and twitching until it gave out.

Slipping out of the water, drenched and uncaring as he intended to devour his freshly caught meal, all whilst a shoot aimed the barrel of his gun in his direction, about shoot.
