South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

The Full Moon. I've dreaded it's lure all week, ever since my encounter with the big cat trio in the forest. Tetradore seems intent on commandeering my particular patch of woods, and I suspect merely out of spite for the way in which our paths crossed. What's worse is the black cat seems to be of the opinion he can simply thrust me into the ranks of his Pride, that if he Dominates me I'll simply roll over and take it like a weakling whelp. I might have been smaller but that didn't mean I was just going to hand my Life and my freedom right over to his paws. I didn't know him, I didn't know any of them... and I wasn't about to be turned into their little kitty-pet or Tobias' chew toy.

Just Who did Tetra think he was anyway?

I couldn't keep them out of my turf though, and I know there was a good chance the two male cats might gang up on me and turn me into a pile of blood and guts if I continued to relent against them. But at least I'd die Free. And they had yet to discover my cabin and cave of wonders. I was most thankful for that, something was still sacred. For now all I could do was tolerate their presence. At least Nadya was nice...

I watch them now from a safe distance, well on the peripheries of the group, further away even then the brooding Tetradore. I ghost beneath the liquid moonlight, it's sterling fingers haloing my platinum figure in an ethereal halo. I slide within sight, a phantom traveling along the edge of a stone ridge before coming to lounge atop an outcrop of large jagged stones that broke away from the bluff somewhat and created a nice ledge from which I could view the activities taking place. Tobias was not the lethal bloodhound of the black panther tonight. In fact if I'd run across him in his current state of banter I'd never have perceived the leopard as a threat, Hell I might have even been given to throw down my guard and engage him in play. But, Fate had not allowed such a happenstance, and I was certainly not about to approach him now.

Still, my rounded ears perk to watch with mild interest as he cavorts with a black and silver she-wolf, frolicking about the girl as if he were no more then a cub. I do not recognize the she-wolf, but then I was certain there were all manner of Were-beasts lurking through the forests tonight. She seems hesitant, gazing at the moon and looking as though she might add her song to the chorus that was already erupting through the night air.

When she does not lend her soprano to the others, Tobias comes to her side and I can see him taking up a posture more akin to a canine then a cat, parting his jowls to let roll an ear-piercing yowl. Ears flip back against the abrasive sound, though I'd admit I'd be happy to re-create such a noise myself. Snow Leopards were separate from all other big cats, in that we lack the capacity to roar. As the caterwaul fades, the leopard is seen to be tossing a deflated ball across the small meadow in which the Weres have gathered. Nadya steps forward then, melding out of the darkness and speaking a single word to her brother to announce her presence.

Silver-blue eyes watch her more intently. Of the three, she'd been the only one to approach me with any measure of kindness. Mayhap if her brothers had, our last encounter would have ended far more peaceably, and I might have been able to say I had made three new friends. As it stands now, I did not trust the big panther or the leopard, but then again I don't trust anyone...

but my distrust should not be mistaken for Fear. I did not fear Tetradore or his Pride, I do not fear anyone... He was not the only one to have felt the frigid hand of Death lingering upon his pelt. I've had my own close encounters with the Reaper and I know there were worse fates then Death after all. Something tells me Tetra knows this too.

Standing and stretching my legs out before me, leonine plume arcing over my back as I do so, my claws are given to rake into the rock face, paws kneading the hard stone as talons score fine lines into the ore. Then with an agile leap I descend to the soft grasses below, landing neatly beside Tetradore and sliding past him with the finesse of fine silk across buttermilk skin. My silver-grey eyes slant towards him from their corners, but I offer him no further acknowledgement as I slink down to where his sister stands.

Padding up beside her, I draw still at her side, letting out a small chuff of sound to alert her of my approach.

"Hello... Nadya." I speak in a smooth soft tone, the sensation of brushing her mind with mine unfamiliar yet. "I.. er, wanted to thank you. For being kind to me the other night."
