South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Nadya should be home asleep. Between running a business at night and the twins awake now more during the day as they grew, she should have been curled up in bed taking advantage of their nap time for some beauty rest of her own. However, the warm sun's rays that had finally peeked through the clouds after a few days of drizzle caused the young woman to be pulled from her abode. Of course the only natural place for a Were to fully enjoy the pleasures of the beautiful day was the South. Nadya didn't wait to enter the woods before changing, very near used to traversing the town in her feline form. It wasn't truly foolhardy seeing as the Hunters within Sacrosanct knew better than to openly engage on a supernatural on the streets when no true crime was being committed.

Nadya's black overlaid the golden pelt beneath, rippling over her muscles as the strong feline rose onto her hindlegs, stretching out her claws to carve deep furrows within the bark like butter on the way down. Every cat enjoyed a good scratcher. She planned on seeking out the large buck she had seen a while back in order to find where it called home so it could be more easily tracked when she managed to pull her brother from his steel home. The great coils within her haunches sprung, launching the large cat up the trunk of the tree with the same grace as flying, so that she could settle upon the overhanging branch. Here she would wait in patient silence for her next unsuspecting prey to wander beneath.

The good things about cats were not just their affinity for climbing but their expanse of patience to sit and watch the world go by while appearing invisible to others. Whether that was good or bad for the new face that loped beneath her tree was yet to be seen. For a moment Nadya watched the Were travel the path through the forest, her golden eyes sliding closed to blink in curiosity after the swishing plumage that could, had a feline been in the mood, doubled as a play thing. Briefly Nadya pondered leaving it be, ignoring the appearance of yet another wolf which she held distrust of in the first place, but then her thoughts flitted to Frost. Last time she hadn't bothered to gather enough information for her pack she was later to find out that the individual had attacked her brother. While of course there were many variables to that previous situation, Nadya was not going to let a wolf slip by unaddressed.

Her rump rose from the perch and her back arched in a lazy stretch before she descended the tree. The wolf had long gone down the path disappearing between the foliage to the clearing Nadya knew all too well lay ahead. Even so it wouldn't be hard to track her as the stink of wolf wasn't hard to miss. Something about dog caused Nadya's nose to twitch every time at the foreign earthy aroma. Nadya trailed quietly down the path one large paw in front of the other with a slight grump at her hunting being paused. As she breached the shelter of the trees her keen predators eyes easily honed in on the relaxing canine. Nadya paused a good few yards away and remained standing, sitting was a sign of relaxation and equality of which she was neither. Her tail was curled up and lashing from side to side, her whole body risen to exude her very birth right of hierarchy less this wolf get it in her head to test her. At first Nadya wasn't going to engage with the wolf, whom appeared little more than a pup, but perhaps curiosity got the better of the cat. "Are you lost?" The strings of the Were ability brushed against the foreign mind of the canine. There was no animosity in the feline's tone but there was also no concern reflected in them either.
