South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

These past few months have been extremely trying for the meek introvert. Since Frost's attack she had been far too recluse more so than often. Holding herself up within her room may have allowed her a brief moment of relief, mentally, but it wasn't doing everyone else any good. She had fallen back to a method that had previous worked for her when she was a member of her old pack. In her old pack the cage she was in was far more than a holding place to keep her from attacking everyone when she went feral. The cage had become a sanctuary for her mind to heal after their physical, emotional, and mental abuse when she had been in a normal state. The bedroom within the Ark had become a cozy cage that was surrounded by those of a pack that had included her. She felt safe there, but even when the others got close to her she did not want their presence. It was difficult to separate her fear from those that would not do her harm. After the spat she had with Tobias she attempted to leave her room more often and try to get herself into a comfortable routine. She was not completely healed, but she was better than she had been for a while now.

Tonight she would not spend her time within the Ark and observe the fights that happened in the ring. Each time she watched Tobias would try to get her to join him in the ring. He did not see her as weak. He saw her as another worthy partner to be at his side and join him in on his version of fun. She was not ready to fight, not yet, but eventually in time she would get there. Although she was not close to any of the other Weres, save for those within her pack, the Were community as a whole knew a lot about each other. Frequent visitors of the Ark were well aware with what happened to her and she knew she was a weak link within her pack and it was best if she stayed out of the ring until she was ready. When she goes in the ring she wants to be prepared and ready to defend her ability to hold her own in a fight and not disappoint Tobias or her Alpha and allow herself the visibly be seen as the weakest link. She was not back to her formal self, but she would be in time, and tonight she was on her next step to her well-being. She was far from the safety of the West and she was now out within the forest, exposed, forcing herself to experience this feeling of freedom and danger.

Tonight she was sitting on top of a hill that looked over the city. Like any Were she was drawn to the moon, but tonight it was a different kind of feeling. Like any canine species she was being tugged by the moon tonight as it underwent a different type of lunar eclipse. Tonight the moon will have one of its closest approach along its elliptical orbit and she was feeling the tug pulling her here. The oddly stained wolf was sitting quietly at her spot feeling quite content and at peace as her slate eyes remained locked on the moon. For some reason she felt at ease just staring at the large orb in the sky waiting for the eclipse to begin as it turned an eerie red. There was hardly any thought or memory jumping inside her mind, it was quiet, and it was such a rare feeling. No longer did she think about Frost and his ability to sneak up and attack her here and now, no longer did she feel the guilt of making Tobias suffer as she tried to fix herself, no longer did she feel the agitation of Nadya having cubs or Alexis leaving her for Frost, or how she felt guilty for attacking Azrael and worrying about Serafina not wanting anything to do with her. She felt empty, she felt free, and it was indeed quite a relief. One grey-ear twitched as she heard the eerie songs come from those that were just like her, unable to howl herself, she just sat and listened, memorized by the songs and the lovely view of the moon above. She had not realized that perhaps her moment of peace could be interrupted by someone's approach.
