South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I am very thankful to Raven for what she's done today, sacrificing her own advantage of speed and size to give me a fighting chance in this game of chase. I know that not many would make themselves so vulnerable and that proves a lot in this tug o' war of trust we've been playing since we first met. She must feel safe with me to do as much and it makes me glow inside. I can tell that she's having some trouble with this new size, which makes me wonder if this is the first time she's ever made herself smaller versus bigger. Her legs are so short and sturdy but they're not made for speed anymore. She turns her head every so often to make sure I'm following but of course I am. I like this game.

I can see a clearing up ahead and I'm sure she plans to reach there first and hide from me. I have a good nose and I've always been good at games of hide and seek mostly because of my smaller size so I can fit in places others can't but now with Raven smaller, there's no telling where she might hide. I bark in eagerness and narrow my eyes, wondering what she's up to. As we reach the edge of the clearing, I manage to catch up and touch my nose to her flanks, just a tag sort of gesture before I swing around on my hind legs and take off around the edge of the clearing. I turn my head to see if she's following but I scowl in worry when instead I see her try to stop and turn and instead she ends up tumbling over and over into the tall grass.

I consider coming back for her, watching as she slows to a stop on her back. As she looks up at the sky for a second, probably in shock, I slow down and give a high pitched bark, a question if she's okay. But then she rolls over and glances up at me. My ears prick forward, hoping she's not injured. When she growls in play and launches after me, I yip in laughter of joy and take off in the opposite direction, cutting through the grass like a pro. As I glance back again, my eyes widen like saucers when I see Raven's form suddenly shift, growing back to normal size. I will admit to some disappointment but I don't mind Raven being her normal size. I don't fear her like I do others that are bigger.

I watch her tail wag and my own wags in unison as I continue throught the grass, hearing her charging after me. When I glance back again however, feeling that she's closer, my rbows rise when I see the suddenly shift in her stance. She's no longer running carefree with her tail wagging. She looks almost like she's...stalking. My tail drops instantly and my ears start flickering uncertainly. What's going on? I slow my pace, wondering if she's hurt but then I see her large paw come up and get ready to strike. I freeze, dropping to my stomach in submission as my ears flatten to my skull, blue gold eyes looking up at her in confusion and hurt. Did I do something to anger her?

But just as she's about to strike, she stops herself and whines, pushing herself back while shaking her head as if her inner thoughts are in turmoil. She lies down and puts her paws over her eyes, trembling as she continues to whimper. I glance up now, ears slowly pricking forward as I no longer feel threatened, at least in the moment. My tail lifts some as I rise to my feet, creeping closer to her, not liking to see my friend in such pain. At her stuttered apology, I tilt my head, my tail offering a wave to let her know all is forgiven.

"Raven...what happened? I don't...understand."
