South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Edith couldn't help the smirk of amusement that crossed her features as all three male gazes dropped what they were doing, all eyes focused on the naked woman in front of them. Truly, she was surprised that the Were boy even batted an eye. Nudity wasn't unusual within their species in the slightest. It wasn't uncommon that you'd find yourself naked after a shift â€" sometimes shifts happened and you lost your clothes. Still, she couldn't help the amusement she felt as his eyes raked her body. She wasn't sure why she felt the sudden need to protect the idiotic boy that had chosen to take on the hunters, but she'd found the words slipping from her lips before she had time to really process what her plan was here. Perhaps, she'd later tell herself, it was simply the need to protect what was hers, and she was awfully fond of the things in her tent. It would be a shame to simply lose those things. Yes, that was surely it.

Though she was pleased that at least one of the Hunters seemed to be completely distracted by the young woman, she'd hoped that the other would at least drop the point of his weapon from aimed at the boy's heart. "He's not important at all." Edie's previously flirting tone dropped, replacing it by an apathetic voice as she crossed her arms in front of her. "He simply lead you morons into my territory. Actually, you know... shoot him. I hardly care." She gave a simple shrug. The Hunter in front of her had merely quirked an eyebrow at her insult, his grip on his crossbow loosening. Drop it, she found herself wishing. Drop it, and if she could get her hands on it... The silver of the arrow wouldn't instantly kill the Hunter in front of her, but it would wound him enough for the girl to escape.

"Come on," Edie found herself saying, her voice dropping low and seductive as she stepped forward, closing the distance between them. She lightly touched the man's shoulder, batting her eyelashes. "You don't need that thing. I'm no threat to you. Perhaps... we could work something else out..." She'd barely managed to get the words out of her lips before the Hunter stepped back, his face twisting with disgust as he raised that crossbow up and put the tip of her arrow in a straight line with her heart. Edie froze, her eyes shifting to see how the other boy was faring. With an arrow also pointed at his own heart, probably not well. Still, Edie gave no indication she was scared or even bothered by the weapon pointed at her. "Well, most boys tend to go for flowers or chocolates to impress a girl," She said with a delicate shrug. "But your method is unique, I'll give you credit for that one."

It happened in an instant, the man across from her rolling towards the other Hunter and disarming him. Clever, Edie would have to compliment him on that if they made it out of this alive. It gave enough of a distraction for the Hunter before her to whip around, his aim hovering inches above where it previously had. She merely raised an eyebrow at the Hunter's threat and the boy's response. Still, despite everything, Edie was hardly prepared for the Were boy to actually release an arrow towards the Hunter, and she was even less prepared for the Hunter in front of her to squeeze the trigger and send an arrow flying at her. Luckily â€" though Edie would have called it unluckily regardless â€" the weapon had been knocked upward by the flying arrow and sent the arrow merely tearing through her shoulder rather than directly at her heart.

Truly, Edie was hardly sure which was more painful: the arrow tearing through a chunk of her upper arm and shoulder, or the explosion of fire in her body at the touch of the silver. She fell from the impact, hitting the ground rather seeing stars herself. She tried to push herself to her feet, but the pain of the silver arrow left her on the ground. She would have liked to have gotten up to run, but she found her first time getting shot had certainly knocked the ability right from her. In her confidence, she'd hardly expected to actually get shot, and hardly had the ability to think of what the pain would be like. It was certainly more... debilitating than she had expected.

Regardless, the young girl was hardly ignorant to the events going on beside her. She'd missed the Were boy's initial shift into his form, instead looking up to see the massive rhino attacking the Hunter. Still too stunned from the impact, Edie couldn't pull herself to her feet quite yet, but she did manage to scramble herself backwards towards her tent merely to avoid being trampled. Taking the Hunter's momentary distraction, Edie looked down at the wound on her shoulder. It was deep and very bloody, and while normally she would have at least begun to heal, the silver seemed to slow that down to that of a normal mortal. That was rather inconvenient. After all, it was a long walk back to Frost's house and she hardly wanted to call the man and tell him to come get her. It wouldn't be worth the smug looks that Frost would give her. Edie's gaze only lifted by the grunt of the animal, and Edie herself winced at the arrow that protruded from the rhino's hide. Still, Edie found herself impressed that it didn't slow him down in the slightest. Two more arrows seemed to bounce off him in the chaos, but it didn't affect the man in the slightest as he continued to disarm the two Hunters.

By the time that the rhino had ended the fight, Edie had managed to shakily pull herself to her feet. She'd need to find something to stop the bleeding soon, but hopefully after that her Were abilities would kick in and allow her to heal and no one would have to know about this rather unfortunate incident â€" especially not Frost. She found herself entirely surprised when, instead of running, the Were boy came towards her. He'd shifted back to his human form somewhere in the walk across the field, though Edie didn't even reward him with a glance.

Now that the fight was over, the adrenaline she'd felt at the danger was giving way to absolute annoyance. He'd brought two Hunters into her home. He'd put her life in danger and had gotten her shot. All of this was not how she'd expected her day to go. She merely glanced up at the bleeding man, her eyes blazing with annoyed rage as he wiped the blood from his cheek. She raised an eyebrow, watching him yank the arrow from his own skin. She'd just resolved herself to healing him in the least â€" after all, she could feel how painful her own wound was, the least she could do was offer him some relief â€" when he'd waved the arrow at her accusingly. His question only amplified her annoyance, and Edie merely turned on her heels to walk back inside the tent.

She was hardly surprised when he followed her inside the tent. Edie sat down, digging through her duffle bag in an attempt to find her least cherished piece of cloth to staunch the bleeding. "Okay," She said, not offering the rhino a bit of a glance as she dug. "I know I'm one to complain, but could you stop bleeding over all of my things? It's rather annoying, considering you just got me shot after all." Edie hardly paused in her search, letting her power take hold of the man. His wounds knitted closed, the bleeding entirely stopping and the pain of the wounds fading as though they were never there at all. Finally, once she was done, she looked up as she pressed the shirt against her own wound and regarded him with her bored gaze. "You're a bloody idiot, you know," Her cool, English voice flickered with a bit of amusement. "Taking on two Hunters by yourself. Bloody idiot, and now look what you've done." She lifted the cloth from her own wound, giving him a look that clearly challenged just what, if anything, he was going to do about it.
