West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Truly, it had surprised the young woman that her Alpha had made no move to inquire about the weeks that she had spent within those African deserts once she'd returned home. The Beta, in turn, had made no real efforts to explain the trip. There was nothing to hide, of course - except perhaps her near death experience - and the fox was not naive enough to assume that Frost wouldn't find out eventually. However, his questioning of it was somewhat of a surprise for Edie. Given the tense relationship between her Alpha and her boyfriend, Edie expected that Frost would ignore the trip altogether, and yet she couldn't deny that she was pleased in his interest in it. For a moment, the girl hesitated. It was Kato's story for why they had gone to Africa and why Edie had gone with him, and yet Frost was her Alpha. There would be no secrets from him. Surely Kato would understand.

"Kato was born there," The fox said as she stepped out of the elevator and into the suite that was lavish even for their tastes. "It is tradition within his home... pack? They don't really call themselves a pack, but there is no other word for it, I suppose. Anyway, it is tradition to travel once you reach adulthood, which is what he was doing when he came to Sacrosanct. However, it is also tradition that you return. Kato wanted to tell them goodbye, I suppose. He wants to stay in Sacrosanct with me, though I will admit, I wonder if that will be a permanent choice or if he will grow tired of me." There was a hint of sadness in the Beta's tone, the girl openly showing that raw emotion that she so rarely gave to Frost. Behind that confident, feisty attitude she displayed so readily remained a young girl that was terrified of being abandoned in any sense.

"He introduced me to his family, though I don't think that they liked me much."

She trailed off then, not wanting to particularly elaborate on the fact that Kato's mother commented that Edie would simply never be a replacement for the wife that Kato had already lost, or that her healing ability was enough for them to all resent her. She didn't elaborate on the hunting trip in which she'd saved the two children at the risk of her own life, or how she had nearly died from that choice. No, that was not something she wanted to share right now. Instead she moved over to that chair to place her legs across his lap, that vulnerability replaced entirely by the feisty demeanor that Frost so often got out of her as she insisted they practice the art of their coupling. It had been a joke - though she wouldn't deny it if he wanted to - and one the fox hardly expected him to respond to. His response, however, saw the girl falter in her confidence.

"I... we... what?" She sputtered, the girl having absolutely no memory of the kiss that he spoke of. "I think it's cruel to tease me, love. If we kissed, I promise I would remember it." She chuckled to herself as she curled against him. There was something about Kato that pulled her in towards him, and yet there was something else about Frost that did the same. The girl would not deny her feelings for Frost, though she would deny that that affection grew stronger with every passing day with him, or that there was something about the Alpha that she would choose again and again if she had to make the choice.

The rise of his hand made the girl flinch almost instinctively, her mind flashing to another time entirely in which the gesture might have resulted in a blow to her face rather than the gentle touch that Frost offered her. Her eyes fluttered shut as she leaned into his touch. She allowed him to move her head, the girl entirely surprised by the kiss he planted on her cheek. It would be so easy for the girl to turn her head and catch those lips in a real kiss, and yet the Beta girl did no such thing. The gesture alone was enough to steal her breath from her lungs, she had no doubt that actually kissing him would be another thing entirely.

Like Frost, the girl let out a soft breath as she too turned her attention to those cards within his fingers. This was no time to get lost in her feelings for a man that she could not have, of that she remained entirely positive. Her fingertips moved to gently trace circles on his pale skin as he spoke, the girl nodding appropriately. The plan seemed to be simple enough. She had no doubt in the success they would find tonight, at least... not until he mentioned those security cameras. "I haven't noticed any," She said sheepishly, clearly feeling as though she had failed her Alpha on some part. "I'll pay better attention." She reached up to tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear as she slid off his lap, allowing him to stand as well. "Your illusion power, does it work on cameras? What is your plan for that?"

Her question was genuine, though it was entirely lost as she watched him unbutton his shirt. The top button alone was enough to derail the girl's thoughts, though her expression showed none of that. She shook her head slightly, moving to kick her own shoes off before she moved towards the bed. There was only one bed, surely he had noticed that? But it certainly wasn't the first time she had shared a bed with her Alpha, and she doubted it would be the last if he continued with the girlfriend ruse in their effort to scam people. She crawled in bed beside him, her head resting on that pillow as she moved to fiddle with the phone she pulled out of her pocket. "I'm setting the alarm for one hour. Then we'll get ready."

It was almost instantaneous the way she fell asleep as she finally allowed her body to relax. She was exhausted from the travel, even if she had tried her best to hide that from the Alpha that slept just inches away from her. It was instinctive the way that she - in her sleep - closed that distance between them until her head was resting on his chest and her arm was draped across his stomach in an effort to hold her sleeping form to his. It was, perhaps, the best sleep that the young woman had had in a long while, and as such, the fox was completely unaware of the chiming alarm that interrupted them from Edie's back pocket once their hour of rest was up.
