West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She knew that she wasn't on her game lately. She was sloppy and should have seen Azrael coming. She had powers that could basically see the future of someone's movements but then her adrenaline had to be going and she'd learned how to control that while exercising. She only pulled that out in an active fight. She still should have been able to sense another Hunter and yet she didn't. Or if she did, she ignored it. She was being careless and she couldn't afford that. Viktor would kill her before night came if she kept this up. She was almost grateful Azrael had come up and surprised her. It was a slap in the face of reality that she really needed. She was usually so uptight about her job as a Hunter but this was bigger than that. Viktor was a danger to more than just her. He was a rogue Hunter of epic proportions.

She felt a little better knowing that at least some of her hits had met their mark on Azrael. She didn't really want to hurt him but he had been the one to make the mistake of sneaking up on her and grabbing her. Now he had to pay the price. He showed his usual sarcasm by snorting when she scolded him for going behind her like that before questioning where she'd been. He should have known he wasn't going to get a straight answer. She was too guarded. She basically told him to mind his own business before she turned away, fully intending to jog away but he must have seen something on her face because she heard that question thrown after her and mentally cringed. Maybe her mascara wasn't as good as she thought it was. "No!" She yelled back over her shoulder, refusing to turn back to face him. He might see more evidence and she couldn't have that.

She could almost feel the anger coming off of him in waves even as she moved away. She had meant for that to be the end of it. Of course she wasn't planning on one of Viktor's goons showing up here in the middle of the day. It wasn't his style. He liked to work in the shadows. The last time he'd been after her, he'd sent someone to attack her in Kohl's apartment right before the sun came up. This was too open. What was he playing at? Or was the Hunter just being impatient and deciding to be reckless? Well, he'd picked a bad day to mess with her. Or at least it would be a bad day for him when she was able to get up. The son of a bitch had slammed her into the ground with his powers and she couldn't get the strength to get up. This was just crappy, using gravity against her like this.

He was going to get an earful when she managed to get up. She groaned as she heard none other than that all too familiar voice calling out, asking who the other Hunter was. Of course Azrael didn't mind his own business and walk away. He was too damn nosy sometimes. Plus he never walked away from a fight. It was one of the only reasons she would agree to go on missions with him for the Council. She knew if it came down to a fight, he would stand there and fight with her instead of leaving her to deal with it herself. But now he was going to get dragged into her mess and that was the last thing she needed. Suddenly the pressure locking her to the ground eased off and she could breathe again. She dragged in a lungful before pushing herself back to her feet. Getting into a crouch, she glared between the two men.

Azrael threw some of his own power at the man and made him fall over but the man got back up with a growl. He was going to retaliate and Kat didn't like the odds since she didn't have their power. She threw two daggers at the man who laughed as he dodged both but he didn't know that she was still controlling them, making them come back around and aim for his back. She turned to growl words at Azrael between clenched teeth. "I don't know and none of your damn business, Azrael. It's personal. I had this handled." She smirked in victory as the knives made their mark, the man grunting as both stabbed him in different places on his back. He yelled in anger and threw his power back at her and before she knew it, she was being slammed against the building behind her before being slammed back to the ground. She groaned in pain. "Asshole." She whispered even as she tried to take another breath.

The man then made a spear appear in his hand and threw it at Azrael, hoping he'd be too distracted by Kat's predicament to notice. Even as the spear flew, he made a shield appear in his hand and got ready to pull it up in case Azrael tried to throw his power back at him again. The shield was specially made to block the gravity power. He smirked, rolling his shoulders. "Like acupuncture in my back. Thanks, doll. I needed that."
