East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stallion is aware to some extent of the tumultuous emotions that flare within the woman at his presence, his fingers gracing her elbow in the barest touch seeing her turn, the man moving his hand well back to himself before the faintest touches of his affinity tease at her mind. He knows well of her dislike for his ability to pry in such a fashion and yet her mind is so entirely familiar to him that it is almost second nature to find her thoughts lingering within his reach. His features however, remain devoid of any indication he held any knowledge of her concerns. It was with some marked distaste that he recalled at least one of the occasions upon which he had been...less then controlled in her presence. Any sort of break within his carefully controlled demeanour is rare and yet Nadya had been witness to at least one moment in which those less...pleasant parts of himself had decided to make themselves known. He had hardly desire that she see it and yet he could hardly change what had occurred all the same. He could, at best, hope to steer her thoughts upon himself entirely back towards a line of thought he himself found far more acceptable. How unfortunate it was that she should have witnessed his assault upon Jackal. Frost finding he was hardly sorry for what he had done to the little creature- he was merely sorry Nadya had caught him. For some reason the opinions of the girl....mattered to him as no one else's simply had before. She mattered. Frost unable to deny it any longer even despite his own disdain for such a thing. Emotion in any form was a weakness- one he has long since practised obliterating and yet somehow, still, the woman before him had found a loophole within his own defences.

Her comments in regards to her brother are met with little more than the lift of a single eye, Frost hardly believing Tetradore to be busy and yet he makes little comment upon it tonight, hardly wishing to let his thoughts linger upon the other Alpha. Edie's sudden return sees his attention return to the slender woman, her fingers against his arm drawing his gaze to her as she passes him a glass- the man taking it with a murmured thanks and yet truly the tension that existed between the two women was hardly missed by the snowy haired equine. His violet gaze shifts smoothly from one to the other, Frost rarely bothering to involve himself in the arguments of women- such things rarely ended well and yet he sees little need to allow either woman to irritate the other too much tonight. Nadya was powerful and Edie, in turn, was entirely capable of drawing her own reactions- the girl would hardly be his Beta without some skill after all and yet the man has little desire to tolerate too much tonight. Nadya's inquiry as to Edie's swim seeing the faintest shift in the man's expression.

Naja.

The single word is echoed smoothly within her mind, the man entirely assured he hardly needed further words to make his thoughts upon the topic known, gaze returning to Edie now, affording his pack mate a ghost of a simper.

"Edie did tell me the two of you had met. Perhaps Edie, you might give Nadya and I a moment, hmm?"

The manner in which Edie so purposely seemed to linger close to him was hardly missed, much less the sour look it seemed to bring to Nadya's features in turn, Frost entirely assured the single kiss he had afforded Edie some weeks prior was perhaps better not mentioned upon pain of death for his Beta and yet truly the very notion that Nadya may find herself....jealous, was almost satisfying. For now however, it is Nadya'a attention alone he seeks, assured Edie can afford him that lest he decided to take a sudden dislike to Kato's presence. The sudden echo within his mind, Nadya's words rapidly ensnaring his thoughts, sees what little of his violet gaze can be viewed returning to the darkhaired panther now. Her comment in regards to him having sent Edie met with the softest of chuckles.

I doubted my presence at the Ark would be well received. I simply sent Edie to check up on you, forgive me, for seeking to make sure you were still alive. I had not believed you would find her so threatening you would need to drown her.

One eye lifts ever so slightly, goading at the woman lightly- this a game they have both engaged in for so very long. Frost content to answer her question and yet to assure she was made aware, in some fashion, that he had not entirely appreciated the near-drowning of his companion. Although truly he doubted Edie's innocence all the same. Even so, his Beta had been dealt with on the matter all the same. Nadya's sudden desire to leave however, momentarily catches the stallion off guard, features frowning ever so slightly at Nadya's attempt to move Samantha along. Her comment in regards to his suit finding his mind as he steps neatly forward. It is perhaps...bolder then the man is normally given to be, especially in the eyes of company, Frost notoriously guarded around those he holds little knowledge of and yet tonight the man finds himself in possession of a more singular goal. At least for now. His business with Dareios pushed momentarily to the back of his mind. His hand moves easily to encase Nadya's own, drawing her towards him and away from Samantha as he steps back. Frost rather unwilling to let the woman leave just yet.

"We, I think, have a little business first."

His lip quirks smoothly upward, Frost moving to pull the woman just a little away from the small gathering of people and onto the dance floor and amongst several other couples- unwilling to afford her any true moment of protest. One hand rests ever so softly upon her hip, Frost entirely...aware of the woman in every sense of the word. The stallion perhaps unwilling to admit how long it had been since he had danced and yet within this crowded room there was precious little place to have the woman alone. Frost already aware, entirely, that Edie would surely demand a dance as well and yet for now his attention remains firmly upon the woman before him. Those cool, frosted lyrics loud enough for Nadya alone as the he moves to encourage her to allow him to lead.

"Do you forget, Naja, that I can see into your mind? Your thoughts are....different. Did you truly send your children away?"

He had warned her against it and yet he suspected entirely she had failed to heed that.
