East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Her giggle is cute and I find myself lucky that I happened upon the burlesque today. Where else would I have met such a pretty fairy such as this? And the queen at that! When I open the door for her, she looks downright giddy that I respect her title so openly. It only makes me wonder what kind of fairies are in this town that don't know what it's like to serve a queen. Certainly families are still teaching their children what it's like to respect those above you. What's their excuse? She thanks me and I bow my head in response before matching her stride.

The sun is going down and the air is getting dark but I've never been afraid of the dark, not since I was a kid. Plus I have my gun in my back holster and a knife in my boot. I never feel defenseless and even when my weapons are stripped away, I usually find a way to get the job done. I smirk when she says that she's not that cool, shaking my head. "Somehow I can't believe that. I would certainly say you're cool in my book. You help run a burlesque for one. What's not cool about that?" She tells me that she hangs out in the west side and I nod in acknowledgement, reminding myself to check out that part of town sometime. Maybe I'll learn more about her that way.

My brow rises when she tells me that she's mostly at the Ark. I'm about to ask what it is when she starts to explain. I scowl when she says that they don't take kindly to fairies, my brows furrowing as I wonder what she's doing there. Is she putting herself in danger? Concern mars my features at the thought of the queen endangering herself, for what? My head tilts in curiosity when she says that she has an in with the owner. Friend or something more? Then she mentions that she likes the beach and she wants to go there. I wave out my hand. "After you then. The beach sounds lovely."
