East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Truly, Edie was not sure that she would make it until the fae girl returned to Nadya, the girl rapidly losing her stubborn hold on keeping herself awake. She just wanted to sleep. She just wanted to let herself fall into the blissful state of dreams, where there was no pain there to wait for her. But she was so scared that if she allowed that, she would be unable to pull herself back. It was Frost and Kato that she thought of now, clinging to her love for them to give herself something to focus on. How hurt they would be without her. And Kato, oh my god Kato, how he would feel if she didn't make it out of this. He already lost someone he loved, and would he survive if anything happened to her? She was so desperately trying to keep herself from dying, but there was so much blood. Truly, the injuries that had been inflicted upon her hadn't been terrible, not when she was sitting in the chair. But the shift she'd forced on herself In her injured state combined with the walk to the burlesque had injured her quite gravely.

She heard the door open once more, though her eyes couldn't quite be managed. She heard the other Beta say her name. Weakly, she let out a tiny mew back before she was lifted off the ground by a force she couldn't explain. She turned her head weakly towards the force, the jostling making her feel almost sick to her stomach. She must have been being taken inside, she guessed, though she couldn't quite figure out that for sure. It was only once she was placed upon the couch did she force her eyes open, watching as the caregiver took the children out of the room. It was taking so much just to keep herself awake, and desperately she found Nadya's eyes as the woman knelt beside her. "Are those your kids?" She spoke weakly, trying to maneuver herself to look at Nadya. "They're cute. I never liked kids much, but yours are cute."

She let out a breath, the room swirling around her once again as the woman seemed to take in the wounds. "I know, it's bad," She muttered under her breath, gathering all the strength she had in order to plead with the woman to heal her. "I met this very... sadistic witch..." Breathe, Edie, she told herself. She had been through worse. There were no silver wounds on her body, her body should heal and yet the blood loss was slowing down any efforts her own body would make on this. "Nadya, please. I'm begging you. I... I don't think I can heal from this on my own. I can't heal myself. I... I know you hate me, but you love Frost... Frost would be hurt if I don't make it... please..." At that, the girl leaned her head back against the arm of the couch, letting her eyes flutter shut. Nadya had two options, it seemed, either heal the girl or let her die on the couch.
