East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
The smooth, worn leather seat felt soft against Serafina's cheek as the young girl breathed in the scent of the man beside her. There was something peculiar about him, of that she was certain. She knew, logically, that she shouldn't be here. Not with him. He was a dangerous man, the kind who was tangled deeply into the death of others. However, she was clearly no better then him. After all it was her that had brewed the small vial within his breast pocket. The thought caused a small simper to cross her feminine features, amused by the thought that somehow, the two vastly different creatures somehow held some basal common aspect in something so vial. It was almost romantic, in some...macabre sort of fashion. Not that Serafina was one to dawdle on such notions. After all it wasn't as if she had very many endearing encounters in the first place. Her whole life had been a fight for survival, one that didn't usually spare time for her to contemplate whimsical fantasies. Her grey tinged gaze fluttered open to fall upon the chiseled fellow beside her, her eyebrows arched in an almost inquisitive fashion. She saw the humor dancing within him, clearly equally as amused with the idea as she had begin. "Oh, my dear man, I have no doubt that this is only the beginning of a much larger game." She responded, her feminine vocals hinting at something far more erotic then she had originally intended.

Her gaze fluttered briefly towards the buildings outside, easily being able to recognize the area. After all, the east side was primarily her part of town. She'd ventured down most of these streets, down alley ways and had even visited a good number of the establishments here. She knew where she was and that was somewhat relieving for the young witch as the cab rolled slowly to a halt. A soft snort left her nose at the words he'd chosen for himself. Really? Were those the sort of things he'd like for her to call him. "Oh, a suitor are you? Vying for my hand in marriage?" It was a jest of course, a reference to times when lords actually courted ladies for the exact thing. In truth, Serafina never thought of herself as one to marry. She certainly didn't think she'd marry him but that was certainly besides the point. "I think you are..." She paused with a musing look to her feminine features as she eyed him with a sudden sort of intensity, "....more of an incubus then any sort of gentleman I'd ever met. Although you are arguably more gentle then the Dark Hunters." Her head tilted to the side, the memory of Azzy and Brennan still quite fresh within her mind.

Serafina reached out, her fingertips gracing the males as she let him pull her from the cab. Despite her perhaps bristly and sometimes awkward exterior, the young with had to admit, as she looked up at the man with the knowledge of where they were going that he was right in every aspect. This was the best first date she ever had, if not the only first date she ever had. "I think it does too." She commented softly, the prospect of oysters getting more appealing by the moment. "I don't think I've ever had so much fun killing a man," Serafina mused to herself, a grin painting her feminine features. See, a little cab ride and a promise of a little food and she perked right up.
