East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young vampire was habitual by nature. She rarely strayed from those schedules she made for herself - always back home by the exact same time every night, far before the sun rose. Her hobbies were tame and predictable. Her choice in her food perhaps just as much. Chizue had perfected the art of exactly how many days she could go without the offset of her hunger rendering her wholly unapproachable. Those she chose from were almost always the same color and personality type, the girl making every effort to minimize the effect that her abilities had upon her and, in turn, the effect that she had on others. The prospect of something fancy to feast on was altogether inquisitive for the young woman. Though she'd certainly come from her fair share of wealth, it was wealth bought by her momentary brush with fame within her life, not wealth from true old money where every woman wore pearls and sparkling ball gowns. Even she could hardly deny that the fairy tale world appealed to her. She was perhaps stereotypical in the manner and yet, the girl was altogether smitten by the idea he'd so offered to her.

Whatever joy she might have gathered from the prospect of going some place fancy in order to feast upon those upper class citizens of the city, however, was interrupted by the idle comment of her kind and how notably finicky they were. A small frown graced the girl's features as her fingers began to toy nervously with the hem of her shirt, her nails simply running along that sewed in fold of the garment. She despised that he might so view her as being so fussy and yet, to tell him the truth of the matter also distressed the girl far more than she wished to admit. In the end, a soft sigh left her lips, her gaze trailing elsewhere as she admitted in a tone more akin to a whisper then anything else. "The cashier doesn't like me very much....I didn't want to bother her...." Her voice trailed off and though it was not completely accurate of what just had occurred, it was at least those two facts that Chizue was certain of. She hardly wished to dwell on it, however, instead inquiring after the sort of places Damon enjoyed. After all, he was entirely suave and put together, she could only imagine the man at her side ate exceedingly well.

She supposed the answer she was given hardly surprised, as vague as it was, and yet she hardly questioned after it any further, simply following the man as he led her down several streets. Her gaze shifted only as he leaned further into her, his voice distinctly heard even in spite of the small crowd they were quickly coming upon. Pretend she belonged? A soft breath left her lips before Chizue slowly nodded. She could do this. She used to do this all the time. Then again, she used to actually belong to those sorts of crowds instead of just pretending to. The distinction certainly made it altogether daunting. Still, he presented her with a rather breathtaking smile and, in return, her own lips slowly shifted into a sweet simper of her own, the girl entirely intent to stay close to him as he moved towards that bouncer, somehow managing to get them past the man on appearances alone. How though, utterly baffled her, and yet she hardly saw a reason to question him as, soon, they stepped over the threshold and into that lounge. That softly uttered voice caused her gaze to sweep slowly through the room, those colors entirely vibrant in the mesh of people.

In truth, Chizue often avoided crowds for this very reason. The colors she was capable of seeing were entirely distracting at times, particularly when they meshed together in the way they did like this. Still, there were certain distinct hues she was capable of picking up on. The table in the far corner to her right held various hues of red and fuchsia- anger and shame. Something was going on there. She saw bright shades of yellow and flickers of orange. A whole rainbow played out before her vision, causing the girl to remain silent for several moments still. In the end, it was a rather particular shade that caused her to hesitate. He was the singular soul within the whole bar to have that particular color - one more akin to Chartreuse. The light green of his success and confidence in life so intermingled with that yellow of creative optimism. It was a nice shade, a hopeful shade. She would like to be like that for a day. Slowly, her finger rose, pointing him out amongst the crowd to the man at her side. "Him. In the blue shirt." She stated quite firmly, her choice entirely made. All that was left to do was approach him and, somehow, actually eat from that aura. This was the part she hated most, her introverted side so rebelling at the idea of intermingling within that crowd. Still, Damon was here to be her wingman of sorts - right? She could at least take comfort in that.
