East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

Nadya was seriously behind with all this pregnancy stuff. She wasn't even completely sure how far along she was. The baby bump at her abdomen was noticeable but not overly intrusive and easy to conceal with her more flowing shirts. Either way she didn't have clothes for it, a crib, diapers...she wasn't even sure what she did and didn't need. In a pack it was a group effort to take care of the cubs and while she had experience with the small school age ones her experience with the newborns and infants was nada. Nadya was afraid of very little but the prospect of having a baby petrified her since she knew nothing about them. This revelation and fear is what drew her from the apartment today in search of some help. Her brother was happiest to ignore the situation and Tobi couldn't even take care of himself so would be as helpful as a box of crayons with all of it.

It has been a long while since Nadya had been in a book store. The telltale smell of paper and bindings filled her nose as she perused the aisles. She was there for only one thing but it didn't stop her from taking her time and enjoying the moment of being out of the apartment. It was a decent day with very little morning sickness and tiredness so she was taking full advantage of the fresh air. Nadya had made her way into the section for parenting and was overwhelmed after only a moment of scanning the titles. There was so many What to Expect When You're Expecting, What to Expect Before You're Expecting, Dude, You're Gonna Be a Dad!, Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy...then it went on to more medical things and experts guides and disciplining. Oh it made her head spin. Nadya slowly plucked out the first in the lineup then a few others, unsure if she would need all of it or if she'd even understand it.

Nadya was just on her way through the aisles, staring down at the books when a familiar scent caught her attention. She glanced up and sure enough the curly-haired she-wolf was there in the bookstore too. Shit. Nadya quickly stuffed the books aside as their paths came close. A small simper of a cordial smile crossed her features. "Raven, what are you doing here? I don't normally see you out and about voluntarily."
