East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

There was already friction within the pack. Yet she wasn't in the middle of it, at least, not yet anyways. However, there was friction between the females and the she-wolf was willing to work past it. It was no lie that she had experienced some sort of anger and hate coming from the female panther when she had first spoken up that she would be joining. Yet the lupine was willing to extend a kind paw to her even if she was slightly upset with her. After Tobias explained why he had been in a violent mood these past few weeks whatever dislike she had of Nadya only increased. Unable to take away Tobias pain and torment completely away she attempted to soothe her leopard friend, helping him to see the problem of the main issue, but there was one thing she could not fix for him. That was another's responsibility to do such a thing- and if Nadya wasn't aware of it then Raven would be more than happy to open her eyes to it. But as of today, right now, she wanted to at least be cordial...if only because they were in public and at one of her favorite spots. Indeed a bookstore was just one of those few places that brought her sheer comfort and delight. It was a place where she could hide away, grab a book and disappear into a completely different world. The atmosphere was always light and cheerful and she could move around freely without having to look over her shoulder. It didn't bother her if Nadya couldn't understand it, because she was sure that the feline would consider a mall or some clothing store as her own sanctuary of sorts...and Raven couldn't wrap her head around that. Though as the she-cat moved towards the stack of books she momentarily stashed away the lupine's stormy eyes narrowed in disapproval.

A part of her knew something like this would happen. When Tobias spoke aloud about engaging in such activities with Nadya she accepted it as nothing more than a mistake- a terrible mistake that caused her spotted friend anger and sadness when Tetradore ignored him. It wasn't hard to explain to the boy that having sex with your best friends sister wasn't a good thing, but what she could not explain to him was why he was the only one to be in trouble and not Nadya or why he kept her promise and still got punished even when he didn't tell anyone. That was the part that hurt her the most because his fragile ability to trust others was broken thanks to the carelessness from Nadya. Now with his cubs being developed in her womb there was a sinister plot dancing around the back of her head. If he was to be her mate then any threat that could derail such a thing needed to be obliterated. Even if his cubs would be dead at least the threat would be over. Yet as she simply stared quietly, brows furrowed together in deep thought, it was a good thing that her species had a law when it came to pups. Pups were the sole responsibility of pack and it didn't matter if they were yours or not and that may have just been Nadya's saving grace. Softly her hoarse voice cracked as she took a slow step forward towards Nadya, blue-grey eyes meeting dark chocolate.

"He told me about you two...but I would assume you were smart enough to engage in such activities. Then again...you were the one that made the boy promise to keep it all a secret...and made him lose his best friend."

Shaking her head her hand would snatch Nadya's. Keeping her grip firm and tight the young woman would lead the girl down the aisle and towards the check out. Tossing her basket of books onto the conveyer built, snatching the books that were in Nadya's clutches and dumped them along her own pile. Standing there, stewing with her own twisted emotions, one foot would tap the ground in a vigorous pattern. Impatient between waiting for the sales associate to swipe the books to her heated desire to simply leave Nadya's side was enough to make whatever saintly patience she held to simply drift away. As soon as the books were placed in the thick straps of a woven bag she swiped some sort of plastic card and punched in a series of numbers stuffing it safely in the back of her pocket. Grabbing the bags of books and swinging them over each shoulder, for balance sake, one hand gently grabbed Nadya's as she simply led them out of what used to be her sanctuary. Now the one place she enjoyed would be tainted with this bitter memory. Turning her head around, golden brown curls cascades gently down her shoulders as a softer, almost kinder voice, was uttered out of the tormented girl.

"As much as I love books they aren't the only things we need for this..."

It did not matter to the she-wolf if the she-cat would struggle or pull away. Her hand in hers was gentle, but firm, and her fast pace quickly adapted to the slower pace from the woman who most likely didn't want to necessary be near her or followed. Between the pack of males neither would surely have a clue as what to do. Relying on Tobias wasn't the best choice and Raven was sure Nadya wouldn't necessary want to go to her brother for these things. If she had a sibling and if she were in this predicament Nadya was in she wouldn't dare show her face anywhere. As she continued on walking with the feline in tow, she would make a sharp left down the clean alleyway with the side door. Stepping through the automatic doors the immediate scent of alcohol could be caught as they entered some sort of medical waiting room. Blue-grey eyes narrowed as she simply stood for a moment catching the signs and reading them before giving a gentle tug for Nadya to follow as she headed for the sign that seemed to say Planned Parenthood. Pushing the heavy wooden door they would enter a much more cozy waiting room with only a few females waiting, noticeably the stench of Were was present. Letting go of Nadya's hand she would simply stroll up to the front desk and grab a clip board before turning around and handing it over to Nadya before sitting down and setting her bags of books down.

"Go on ahead and fill this out and someone will come to see you and answer whatever questions you have, like how far along you are or what you should start doing. And don't worry about the cost...we're at a free place, better yet your doctor is going to be one of us. "

Folding her arms she simply sat in her chair silently. The will to chew out Nadya was strong, but it was instinct deeply woven in her DNA that every wolf had, feral or not, pups were important and pups had to be taken care of- no matter where they came from.
