East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

If there was anything Alexander could say he had, it was time. He had unlimited amounts of it, or so it felt. He had seen empires fall and rise, he'd seen fashion trends come and go and come again as if the world was on some repetitious track. He'd watched people he cared about die, over and over again until, at some point, he stopped seeking others company all together -- that is until lately. Peculiarly, Alexander seemed to be constantly finding himself in the company of weres, of all creatures. The Dark Hunter didn't hold any thing particularly against their kind, liking them much better then perhaps the fae and the undead vampires but he hardly expected them to be so persisting in their befriending - then again, maybe the ivory steed just was entirely idiotic or completely reckless with his sweet tooth. It wouldn't terribly have surprised him. She, on the other hand, was entirely different from the stubborn equine. In truth, Alexander suspected she were merely placating him to get through the night and escape unscathed into the world beyond his cafe doors with the intent to never again return to his haven. And yet, even despite his suspicion, the Macedonian man still found himself providing her with the rarest of offers, as if he'd suddenly become determined to show her he wasn't a threat to her life...in a rather odd turn of events.

It seemed as if his suggestion for her involvement in the creation of her drink struck a cord within her, causing her eyes to light in a fashion that was surprisingly pleasing. He watched her nervous dance begin anew, her teeth tenderly chewing on plush sweetheart lips in a fashion that almost made him want to reach out and stop the ridiculously distracting behavior. Instead, however, his blue-green gaze slid away from her, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly within thought. It had been an extremely long time since Alexander had felt any of those kind of stirrings, and yet he was hardly given he opportunity to dwell upon it when her demure voice answers, laced with uncertainty, with an affirmative. He stepped towards the Barista bar at the the front of the tore, intending to do just that when the lights over head flickered again before plunging into darkness. Alexander froze, his gaze immediately drifting back towards her. He made no effort to voice his momentary frustration, instead his tactics quickly switching to the next means to achieve his goal.

In a small, tucked away part of the staff section there was a staircase - one that led to a loft up above the cafe. With his own apartment up stairs, the Dark Hunter hardly ever had to leave the cafe and the world he carefully constructed around himself. It gaze him the ability to watch the world change around him while he, once again, remained an unyielding force, too stubborn to die and to dejected to truly live. It was here he intended to take her, having been quite partial to a wood burning stove and fireplace himself. He shifted in the darkness, knowing the layout of his domain by heart. "Careful." He commented softly, his eyes quickly adjusting to the darkness and without laying a hand upon the were female, he did his best to guide her to the stairs, warning her ahead of time of any obstacle that might cause her to stumble.
