East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

"Now remember, sweetheart, nothing happened. Now wrap this pretty scarf around your neck and hurry on to class."

I help the pretty brunette wrap the brand new scarf around her nek before sending her on her way. I make sure to wipe my mouth and make sure there's no wasted blood on my chin. It's not that I'm shy about making a mess, but there's no need to call attention to myself in the middle of a busy night. People are walking around everywhere so I picked a dark alleyway to walk with her down. I didn't even get her name...not that it matters.

I venture down the streets, my hands in my pants pockets as I move through the crowds with ease. That cocky smirk paints my lips as I nod to the girls. The night couldn't get better. I've been fed and satisfied and now it's time to have a little fun. Up ahead, I see two girls strolling arm in arm. Aww, how cute. They must be BFF's. I tilt my head, watching as they get closer. They smile and split apart just to walk past, both their hands brushing my sides as they connect again at the hips right after passing. They both give me a flirty giggle and one calls over her shoulder.

"We have a table further down the sidewalk. Grab a brochure, handsome."

They continue giggling like it's some kind of secret joke before disappearing into a coffee shop. I watch with a raised brow before turning back the way I was going. Further on down the sidewalk, I can just make a table with some papers on it and a sleek looking strawberry blonde standing close by. If she's anything like the samples I just walked past, this should be intriguing. I stroll down the sidewalk, pausing at the table to lean over it, glancing at the brochures with mild interest. Interspecies relationships? How to become a vegetarian? What kind of shit is this? I glance up, meeting the girl's eyes for the first time. My voice is suave as always.

"So...which of these applies to you?"

That's one way to start a conversation.
