East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

Sebastian was particularly grateful as the fellow took the hint, all too eager to jump upon his game of yes-we-do-know-each-other. It made his interruption far easier to explain then it might otherwise have been. He was hardly oblivious to the look of appreciate that crossed the man's features and frankly Sebastian found himself entirely unable to resist the urge to wink within the direction of his haphazardly appearing 'friend'. It was far too easy to see the businessman off and out of Sebastian's affairs entirely, the bills pushed slowly towards the bartender as he too provided her with one of his good natured simpers. He settled comfortably at the side of his companion, reigning in that chemical signature within that air that claimed this space and everyone in it belong to him alone. His crystalline gaze instead shifted towards the replacement vodka lined up in front of them, "Thank you, Debbie." He commented softly, reading the girl's name tag as she lingered in front of them. She would have been easy prey - that he could detect already and yet, the human girl paled in comparison to the potential fae he found at his side.

Once the Vodka had been poured, and Debbie left to her own devices, Sebastian's interest fell solely upon the fellow at his side, the corner of his mouth still turned upwards at the appreciation within Darien's voice. A small shrug crossed Sebastian's shoulders at Darien's insistence, brushing off his savior routine with little concern. After all, Sebastian had never truly fit into the knight in shining armor role well - if at all. "I try." He commented good naturedly, none the less. Slowly, Sebastian reached out for the shot placed in front of him, his wrist rotating just enough that the clear liquor within begun to too circle within. In truth, Vodka had never really been his liquor of choice. It was tasteless and burned and shots of it went to his head far too quickly for his liking. Still, he supposed it would be rude to turn it down after he himself had ordered more, especially considering his new found companion seemed quite keen to take to it.

Soon enough, he lifted the glass to his lips, pouring the liquid within his mouth in a fashion quite similar to his companion's. He savored what little taste there was before letting it go down his throat, his features perfectly composed thanks to all the years of shoddy alcohol before the distilling industry had become regulated. Gingerly, he placed the glass back on the bartop, far more interested instead by his companion's voice then the remaining two shots settled in front of them. "Darien?" He inquired, repeating the man's name back if only to feel the syllables on his lips. He reached out, his touch far softer and gentler than it perhaps should be as he fit his hand in Darien's. "It's a pleasure. I am Sebastian." His touch lingered just a moment or two longer than a mere handshake should - his bed had been empty for far too long. It was only in moments like these that Sebastian realized how much he yearned for the simple contact of skin against skin.

Darien's deadpan voice brought Sebastian's attention back from the idle fantasies that had momentarily crossed his mind, his gaze momentarily drifted from the man as if to take serious stock of their surroundings. "Well, you're certainly the most worthwhile, at the very least." Sebastian offered, hardly concerned about the compliment that fell from his lips. His gaze darted back towards the man, noting the good-hearted look within his irises - ah, so he had a sense of humor. That certainly would make things easier. His ever present smile, however, faltered momentarily as Darien made a quick move to his jacket, clearly making an effort to hide something, though what Sebastian couldn't even begin to fathom. What he was aware of, however, was that Darien was uncomfortable and that was something fully within his capabilities to mend.

It was far too easy for his affinity to reach out, to innately exude and manipulate the chemicals within the pair. It was easy to attempt to induce calm, comfort, security, safety, and maybe even just a dash of attraction (after all, this was Sebastian). What he was inquisitive of, however, was the fashion at which Darien's chemistry felt different. He had never tried to manipulate a fae before. He was unsure of if it would work, if his affinity would be enough or if he'd need to put more concentration upon his intentions. It was all a huge unknown and that certainly made Sebastian far more interested in the game then he might otherwise have been. Still, he glance up at Darien's words, his features beaming once again as a soft chuckle left his lips. "Me? God no. I am no one. I was just...in the right place at the right time I suppose." How much of his life could be explained away in that simple sentence. "And what about you? What is someone like you doing here drinking alone?"
