East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

In truth, Tetradore had thought particularly little of the heart shaped cookies or the red and pinks splashed all over the cafe. He hadn't paid any attention to the roses on the table or the way the foam within his own coffee was shaped in that universal symbol of love. He hadn't even really noticed that it was Valentine's day around the corner. It was a holiday that hadn't been celebrated in his life since he was a child. He'd almost forgotten its existence all together. "Yup." Tetradore responded casually to her show of gratitude, falling in the seat next to her to placidly sip on his own all to warm beverage. The man was oblivious to the way the girl's thoughts had drifted down an avenue that, quite frankly, Tetradore hadn't even begun to consider. It was almost disappointing really. He was so used to this emotional isolation that he hadn't even considered the the possibility of pursuing anyone, despite the upcoming holiday. Instead, Tetradore reached out to pluck a cookie from the plate, entirely focused on their task at hand rather than the blatant decorations that should have screamed at the man.

He glanced towards her at the sound of her voice, a small shrug crossing his shoulders. "It was the only kind of cookies they had." He admitted, placing one into his mouth in the process. The man paused mid-bite as she held up one of the cookies, reading the words on it before he glanced down at the half bitten icing on his own. Although the top part of the 'K' was already half bitten off, the message on his own chosen treat was quite clear. He held up his own cookie towards her, his eyebrow raising ever so slightly as he leaned forward, his elbow placed upon the table. "According to mine you should be kissing me right now." He responded, a nearly mischievous grin tugged at the corner of his lips, his emerald eyes steadfast upon the woman.

Tetradore let the conversation drift away from the ridiculous utterances on the cookies, a small snort left his nose at the girl's mention of his dislike of tea. His attention turned from the pair, having felt the presence of another on the fridge of his mental radar. It was enough to drag his conversation back to the entire reason they had ventured out in the first place. He nodded ever so slightly as he listened to the fae in front of him, his emerald gaze already searching for the individual that had set off his own internal instincts. At least, that was until Samantha change the topic to her abilities to feel him. Her words had certainly caught Tetradore off guard, his thoughts turning momentarily inward as if to determine his own feelings. The man leaned forward ever so slightly, placing both his cookie and coffee cup down before giving the fairy the full weight of his attention. "Tell me, Sam," He started softly, "Do other's emotions affect you?" Her sudden forwardness was certainly out of character for the young girl, enough so that he begun to question how true her interest within him might be.
