East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

If the young vampire was anywhere truthful, she hardly found the rag to be quite as disinfecting as she thought the tables should be cleaned. However, her home country had particularly high hygienic standards - standards which had been engrained within the girl as a young child. She tried not to fuss about it, however, merely following the instructions she'd been given by Isolt and the other waitresses. She tried to keep her head down, to not create any opposition, to make friends - though she was sorely lacking on the latter. Nevertheless, once the girl had discovered what the napkins were actually for, she did her best to assist in what little was she could, wiping the counter down enough so that it was no longer sticky to the touch. At the very least, it was now acceptable for a plate, though in truth she would have placed little else on it. Regardless, a warm simper lit up Chizue's doll like features at the man's appreciate on her efforts, her head bobbed ever so slightly in return. "Of course, is there anything else I can help you with?" She inquired, her entire posture remained nearly picture perfect, ensuring that despite her hesitance, and uncertainty, and their difference in species, she seemed at the very least, cordial, if not welcoming.

Her chocolate gaze watched as the man shifted in his seat, clearly reaching for something and yet the girl flawlessly suppressed any motion of fear or distrust she might have felt. After all, it would be impolite to not treat him as any other guest. Thankfully for her, it was hardly a steak he presented her with, instead, a deck of cards resting almost innocently within the palm of his hand. Her head tilted to the side, her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly in a small display of inquisitive confusion. "Games?" She inquired for a moment. She had certainly heard stories of Hunters who liked to "play" with their victims. Hell, she'd heard horror stories of her own kind being just as cruel and vicious. Drago himself has his own sort of game - a single drink in return for enslavement. And yet, despite all she'd been told, Chizue found herself answering him. "I'm okay at them, I guess. What kind of game?" It wouldn't be so awful to hear the man out - would it?

Her darkly colored gaze followed the man's hands as he shuffled the cards before laying them out in front of him, she stared at the face of the card for a moment, watching him flip it back over before slowly, her eyes turned back upwards towards him. She paused, her lips pressing in a moment of thought before she inquired meekly, having learned to ask before she agreed to anything, "Would I be able to leave after dinner?" Chizue questioned uncertainly though, there was something about this man that made her want to trust him. It was peculiar, perhaps, because of what they both were and yet he hardly had that same dangerous vibe that so many of his kind carried. He seemed calm, maybe even a touch mischievous but certainly not the same vehemence that she was used to tasting. It made her hopeful. Plus, it wouldn't really be that terrible to spend a little time with him would it? It wasn't as if she had anyone beside her employer these days and lately even she had been more...despondent than usual. She paused for a moment longer before offering the man a small nod, "All right, I'll play, I've nearly finished my tables for tonight, I think."
