Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Vhalla stands there watching the faerie queen halt the tears falling from her eyes and the bubbles dissipating into thin air. As she slides the blade into its sheath she's satisfied to watch that fear and confusion morph itself it something else. Rage. The assassin knew she had hit her mark when she finally brought Dorian and Aiden up, what she didn't expect was the foul language to come rolling off of the faerie's tongue. Again, that hint of amusement plays in the back of her mind, but she allows her own rage to engulf her as to hide it from Sam.

The witch wasn't naïve though, she was certain the faerie could feel every little thing she herself was feeling. Obliging though, she releases the queen's arm and watches as she crosses them over her chest. Finally, Vhalla sees that rage boil in Sam's eyes and the assassin releases an exasperated sigh, "Finally," she mutters as Sam's words turn threatening. "Good. Feel that rage, Sam. Don't let it overwhelm your-," she's cut off by the sudden fear that engulfs her.

Shuddering violently, she drops to a knee her eyes widening until the whites of her eyes are exposed. Sucking in breaths as if she couldn't get enough, she lifts her head to watch Sam. Oh, how the assassin deserved this. She had fully expected to enrage the faerie, what she didn't expect was the woman to completely take advantage of her own fears and use it so violently. Placing her palms on the floor she could feel the bile burning at the back of her throat and she barely hears the angry words directed at her. Taking another shaky breath she knew she had to push that fear down or her plan would be all for nothing. Sam would hate her and would never understand why the assassin had attacked her.

Sweat beads on her forehead while the rest of her body is soaked in a cold sweat. Shoving down fiercely on the fear for a brief moment, she propels herself forward, swiping a leg to take Sam out watching as the faerie crashes to the floor. Vhalla herself only has time to pick herself up, roll over and puke onto the floor. Feeling the fear dissipate as fast as it had come, she wipes her mouth with the back of her hand before standing up, towering over Sam.

"That was good," she says her voice shaky from the ghost of terror haunting the back of her mind. "You need to attack me without your powers, you can't always rely on it because the moment you meet another person who can dull your powers you'll be defenseless," she comments taking a step toward the red head. "Do you see how easily I distracted you?" she asks, gesturing down at the sprawled form of Samantha. Reaching down she grasps Sam's wrist again, hauling to her to her feet. "Use that rage to fuel you but do not let it overwhelm you like it just did," Vhalla says sternly, crossing her own arms across her chest.

"I bet you that you truly thought that I was here to hurt you and your family, you let your fear and anger overwhelm you enough to not see the truth," Vhalla speaks numbly, that echo of fear still dancing in her eyes. She stares at the queen wide eyed and traumatized, Vhal only wanted to prove a point she didn't expect Sam to lash out at her so aggressively. "Do you understand now why I insisted you learn to defend yourself? If this hadn't been me you would be dead already and your court would be disbanded."
