Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Vhalla remained crouched before Sam silently as she curls her hand into her body so not to drip anymore blood onto the floor. She listened intently as Samantha continued to work through her hysteria and then finally her understanding. When the fae moved to make her way to the bathroom, Vhal looked over her shoulder to watch her go, unsure as to what she was doing. When she returned moments later with a first aid kit she couldn't help but let out a weak laugh. "Always the protector," she says quietly before giving in to Sam's administrations. When the woman comments on her own healing powers, Vhal glances up at her and gives her an apologetic smile.

"I won't apologize, Sam," she says with a small shrug to her shoulders, "I do have a few potions that could help with the bruising though, you still won't heal as fast as me but you will heal faster than most faeries," Vhalla offers as she allows Sam to continue her bandaging. When finished, the assassin rocked back on her heels to regard Sam, now free of the hysteria she once possessed. Simply giving a nod to the faerie in agreement she stands and follows her down the stairs and into the kitchen. Depositing herself into the barstool, she crosses her legs and leans across the bar watching Sam move about the kitchen in an unhurried matter.

When the coffee is placed in front of her, almost as a peace offering, she hesitates before adding cream and sugar to it and sipping on it quietly. Allowing her friend to speak first, she leans back and listens intently. When she finishes, Vhalla clucks her tongue thoughtfully before placing the mug back on the counter, "I don't know who Frost is, I've heard of him in passing but have never had the opportunity to meet him," she begins before settling her eyes back on the woman, "I will tell you, Sam, I've scoured this city and interrogated many people, super naturals as well as humans, there hasn't been a sighting of the faerie woman you are talking about," she claims before leaning forward in her seat again.

"I promised you that I would protect you and I know Dorian would give his life for you as well," she trails off suddenly looking away almost ashamed. "I am not proud of what I did tonight, Samantha but there may come a time where you have to fight me off and your powers won't be enough to keep me at bay. You insist you want me to be in your life and though I have many objections, given that I'm a danger to you considering my current position in life, I will stand by you until the end. And I won't be the only one you can't use your powers on to defend yourself, there are people out there who are immune to your kind," she pauses looking back at Sam her eyes fixed intently on Sam.

"Let me ask you this, would you have agreed to learn hand to hand combat if I waltzed in and asked you nicely?" she questions though she already knew the answer. Watching Sam begin to deny it, Vhal raises a hand to cut her off, "Deny it all you want Samantha but I know you, and I know for a fact you wouldn't have let me teach in the way that I need to. My methods may have been... aggressive but it was the only way to show you," Vhalla states before sipping at her coffee again. Letting Sam work through her reasoning she's relieved to see the uncomfortable nod at her agreeing to Vhal.

Offering an apologetic smile, she looks back up at Sam, "I am truly thankful to have you in my life, this is something that is very new to me and now that you've been entwined with me and I with you, I intend to keep you very much alive."
