Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

but not enough to get attached

There was no denying that golden face of that spectacular wristwatch altogether signified so many facets of the vampire's relationship with his lover, though perhaps not entirely in fashion in which Dorian had so noted as he placed that watch around Sebastian's wrist. His fingers graced the surface of that sapphire glass and yet, in that singular moment he was drawn to that simple observation that, for him at least, his lover so seemed to personify the sun itself, glorious, radiant, graceful, and warm while he was far more akin to that colder, paler moon. And yet still, those two heavenly objects so managed to exist, within that watch, in the same space, so ticking around the face of that dark backdrop as the constellations so hung within their presence. How much such a simple thing could so mean and, in return, Sebastian was all too quick to inform Dorian exactly of his love for that very object as he leaned forward to press his lips gingerly across the King's cheek in an entirely sweet manner. He watched that glee that so fluttered across the man's features at his assurance, that gesture alone so causing his own smile to widen ever so slightly as he glanced down with a certain measure of fondness towards that watch upon his wrist.

Still, it was that joy that so saw Sebastian turn his own attention towards the Christmas tree, so requesting one of the boxes beneath those branches to retrieved for him. He handed that meticulously wrapped box to his companion, entirely unaware of those emotions that so beset the King in that excitement of his first Christmas gift. Still, the vampire was, at least, aware of the significance of that singular object Dorian had plucked with inquisitiveness hours earlier. He could hardly deny his thankfulness that Dorian had found this one first. Still, the man watched in silence as his companion pulled off that gold wrapping paper to reveal the black box inside, his own simper slowly widening as Dorian lifted the lid of that beautiful box. He watched for a moment as Dorian so eyed the rings within that box, watching as the man reached forward to lift one into his fingertips. It was with that singular gesture that Sebastian's lips parted, so informing his lover exactly of what those rings did and, in turn, hopefully providing the man well a hint of precisely why he had gone through such lengths to so purchase them.

Sebastian was all too aware of that look of amazement that crossed Dorian's features with the mention of those ring's capabilities. Technology was altogether astonishing for the fae King and, indeed, the vampire often relished in his abilities to so coax that very look of awe within his lover. His head bobbed quite firmly, "Even when we are apart." He uttered softly in response, his own thoughts lingering briefly upon those evenings they'd spent apart, much to Sebastian's often eternal efforts to so coax his lover to remain at his side. For all his disagreements with the girl, he hardly despised his lover's roommate in any sense, truly, he simply found himself utterly remiss to be without that presence he found such great comfort within. Those nights he was left to his own devices often felt longer, darker, and somehow colder, regardless of the messages they might share in their time apart thanks to that cellular device. He tried often to allow his lover to enjoy those evenings with his roommate without his intervention and yet - truly it was so difficult to do so. This simple gift, perhaps, might so serve to alleviate that heartache at Dorian's absence.

That soft sound to Dorian's voice as such like minded thoughts so fell from the King's lips brought a small simper of understanding to the Englishman's features. "I hope so too." He responded softly, reaching out to take that ring and slide it onto that ring finger upon his left hand, so matching his lover in that singular gesture. It hardly took long for that ring to so come to live, that soft vibration upon his finger so matching with the sound he could faintly hear of Dorian's heart. It was silly really, how that simple brush of metal against his skin could so comfort him and yet, at the same time, could so cause the vampire to desire little more than simply closing that small distance that seemed to exist between them. His dark navy eyes met those silver ones of his boyfriend's, his own simper decidedly softer as it danced upon his lips and yet that impish glance to Dorian's features so saw his head tilt ever so slightly with a brief show of inquisitiveness. That shifting of the monarch's body against that sofa was entirely welcomed as the man slid into his lap. That press of Dorian's lips against his own was all too eagerly returned, that want so easily and effortlessly stirred to the surface as his hands slid upwards to settle upon each side of Dorian's neck. It hardly mattered to him, in that moment, of the decidedly public nature of that show of affection, though truly such acts were entirely within the vampire's nature.

Unfortunately for him, it hardly took long before his lover so abruptly pulled away, declaring those rings entirely functional. Sebastian could hardly help the way in which his eyes rolled and yet, he hardly had a moment to respond before the King took his leave, slipping from his lap entirely in favor of that sparkling Christmas tree. His dark blue eyes so lingered upon the form of his lover, watching the way his body so moved as the man leaned down to fetch that box from beneath the tree amongst the others still left to be opened. His eyebrows raised ever so slightly as Dorian returned to present him with that rectangular box. It was a distinctive box and already the man had a vague suspicion that it held clothes in it from the shape alone. He hardly expected the sheer multitude of red undergarments that rested within. A warm chuckle crossed his lips as his fingers reached down to shift through the multitude, his gaze shifting upwards ever so slightly at those French lyrics. "Vous étiez certainement préparé." (You certainly were prepared). He commented, clearly amused by that gift he was presented with and yet, entirely curious of this game in which he might so require such attire.

He watched as Dorian resettled upon the couch, clearly entirely blissful now that he was, or so he thought, entirely through with this process of so giving gifts. "I am glad you enjoyed it...though there is still one more for you, mon cher." He commented softly, gesturing back towards the tree at that small red box that rested beneath it. He remained where he was, those undergarments nestled on his lap as he allowed the monarch to fetch that seemingly insignificant box. He had taken such distinct care in so ensuring each of Dorian's gifts were returned with something in kind, though, he supposed this one was perhaps not entirely like those undergarments he was given at all. Rather, nestled within that box was but another small electronic device, the vampire wholly content to beset his lover with those nifty gadgets he remained all too oblivious too. That iPod had been filled with dutiful care, song after song of all those years that Dorian had missed, ones that Sebastian himself remained particularly partial to. Music was, after all, an undeniable passion of the vampire's and to so share it with his lover seemed to forever more hold some great appeal to him - this was but another attempt to so further those horizons of his lover's once so narrow world.
