What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

The Englishman had, at least, some thought given to the astonishment that the golden hued device within the palm of his hand might so cause his lover. Such technology as the this was but largely a glimpse of fantasy within his own era. Such music could only be enjoyed straight from the hands of a composer themselves and yet, he suspected largely that once Dorian understood it's intent, he might find a continued enjoyment from those musical notes, particularly during those hours in which he was away from the vampire. In truth, Sebastian had often wondered what sort of things so occupied the King's time during those days they spent apart and yet, to inquire of such a thing would have been distinctly impolite enough that Sebastian had left himself continue to so dwell on the topic with but vague inquisitiveness. As it was, such thoughts were pushed further from his mind as his fingers flicked through those musical pieces, pausing upon one that held distinct popularity even within the world beyond that classical sphere that Sebastian so treasured. A small hint of a grin crossed his features at that sudden fashion in which Dorian so quickly jumped, clearly quite alarmed by that music that suddenly flooded his ears, even if the melody was but soft and peaceful in those notes.

He watched the flurry of emotions that so crossed Dorian's features as those notes played on - that alarm slowly shifting to something vastly more curious and then, at last, to the awe that he too knew well such a device might eventually so coax within the decidedly ancient King. He let that song play out for the three minutes in which it lasted, even if the true piece continued on vastly longer. His fingers danced across the screen of that iPod, instead letting the music pause as he reached out to pluck those earbuds from Dorian's ears. He watched his lover so massage the depths of those ear canals, unsurprised that such a shape had agitated them ever so slightly, after all, his own ears much more preferred actual headphones then those small buds. Regardless of such a gesture, however, Sebastian moved to explain, in far greater detail of not only what the object was but, too, what Dorian had just listened to and that singular song's importance within that world. It was one of the few pieces that so breached that genre it belonged to, a rarity that certainly deserved acknowledgement even after all these years.

His eyebrows rose ever so slightly at his lover's mention of a radio, the vampire hardly had anticipated that Dorian might know of the device and yet, slowly, he nodded. "Yes, though this one is meant for only you to hear, and you can dictate what songs it plays and when." He spoke, only confirming those observations that Dorian himself had already concluded. Delicately, he wrapped the headphones around the device before handing it back to his lover, entirely unaware of the fashion at which his simple admittance that he had already added music to it to ensure Dorian had at least something to listen to had so afflicted the man. After all, Dorian had, once, desired to learn of those pieces he so treasured, though such a statement was made in part to so helping the vampire master that affinity that he struggled to control. This was perhaps merely a step in that direction to so show his lover all that he had missed in those years of his isolation. Regardless, Sebastian stood at the sound of his own name, reaching down to pull Dorian upwards and, at last, making his way to join that makeshift family in the dining room.

Sebastian paused only at that soft brush of Dorian's hand against his own, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly in confusion as the King so stopped him and yet, he altogether obliged easily enough. A small simper crossed his features as Dorian's lips pressed ever so gently against his own in a kiss that was altogether gentle and adoring. Those words that followed on further coaxed a most peculiar feeling within the vampire - one of simply being loved. It was inquisitive to the man, if only simply because it was a sensation that had altogether been rare within his life, one that even his marriage had not managed to so coax within him in the same fashion as this. "I hope you have enjoyed your first Christmas, Dorian." He muttered softly, letting his fingertips enclose around his lover's for but a brief moment as he led Dorian into that already busy dining room. Sebastian settled within his designated seat, leading Dorian to the one at his side before so presenting the awaiting Elaine with his plate. He was hardly surprised by the sheer amount of tasty food that was returned to him but moments later, his attention turned briefly towards Giles as the man called his name.

The sheer history he held with that man was certainly extensive to say the least, the pair addressing each other more like old friends then true master and servant, regardless of the topic of the buck Giles had seen the other day, claiming it had nearly twenty one points. It was a fact Sebastian regarded with a look of dubiousness as he picked up that wrapped sausage from his plate, shoving it into his mouth. The talk of said deer continued for several minutes longer before the topic changed instead changed towards their upcoming venture to Naples. Sebastian could hardly deny he was remiss to leave that home so particularly early, after being back but mere days and yet, he was too curious of the Christmas and New Year's that was celebrated within the King's own home country. His gaze flittered towards Dorian, watching the small frown that graced his features before he nodded to agree that he was, at least, looking forward to part of it. That admittance alone caused the vampire's eyebrows to furrow once more and yet, he hardly commented on it before a slice of meat was slipped through his lips and chewed quite thoughtfully.

It was only the soft sound of Dorian's own voice that drew his gaze once again, the vampire wholly pausing in his meal to listen to those concerns that graced his lover's heart - words that were so rarely mentioned. After all, such topics that somehow might venture from the pleasant ones that they often engaged within were usually avoided all together. It was that, however, which surely contributed to such an acute attentiveness from the Englishman. A small frown crossed his features ever so slightly as he nodded in a small display of understanding. "I imagine they would not want the King of Italy out in the world by himself without any knowledge of where you are. But, I imagine with some compromises, we can still return home. Things will be different I'm sure, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing, Ma Biche." He commented softly, a small simper of reassurance crossing his features in that moment. After all, such responsibility of so ruling a kingdom could hardly be ignored, of that he was aware, and truly it might not be all that bad for his lover to at least have some continued form of protection once they returned to Sacrosanct, especially considering whatever had so occurred that had stolen his lover away from Italy within the first place. Although Dorian had never seen fit to mention such a thing, Sebastian had hardly forgotten that vague explanation he had once been given all those months ago.
