Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you were the answer to my dreams

A warm simper cross the Englishman's features, that same charming glimpse he had once provided many a soul upon dance floors in ballrooms not entirely unlike this one, though certainly not as grand. It was hardly difficult in the slightest to further that attraction his lover had for him, though of late he had noticed his affinity often failed to have the same effect upon Dorian in the fashion it usually would upon others. It was, he was assured, that such emotions already existed within the heart of the King, producing them further was hardly as easy as it was when nothing existed there at all. Still, it was reassuring to know of that love the Monarch felt for him, that simple knowledge had a fashion of producing a warmth within his own chest. He felt Dorian's fingers slide into his own and with decided ease, Sebastian pulled the King into his arms - exactly where he was sure the man belonged. His head bobbed ever so slightly as his lover inquired after this 'new' dance he wished to show him, that simple admittance that his own era's dances were somehow more impressive brought a soft puff of air through his nose in amusement. "When compared to your hopping, I don't think that's incredibly hard to best." He responded with a clearly teasing tone to his voice.

He stepped with ease into that old routine, despite how long it had been since he had last danced the two-step. Still, it came back to him with a welcomed sort of familiarity as he led his lover across the dance floor, a soft hum echoing upon his lips and in the back of his throat. Music was, after all, Sebastian very life, his favored of the arts and as of such, it was surely scarcely a surprise that he was entirely incapable of remaining wholly silent as he led Dorian through those steps. He let that sound get away from him, his affinity taking control to fill the room with that magical melody, effectively bringing that ballroom back to the life it might have once had nearly five hundred years ago. His own brightly colored eyes met those silver ones of the King, a small simper crossing his features in acknowledgement of his own meticulous workings as he twirled his lover in a circle before pulling him back into the vampire's chilled embrace.

Despite that glee that had mirrored the King's features already, Sebastian was hardy done. He fully intended to make this singular moment breathtaking as possible for his lover, the vampire instead coaxing to life an affinity he had not yet utilized within Dorian's presence - that ability to manipulate those reflections. There were certainly plenty of surfaces to work with above him, though manipulating them all ever just so required a measure of concentration that the vampire hadn't fully expected. Thankfully, those steps were nearly instinctual by now, letting his attention turn elsewhere as those chandeliers were so brought to life, awashed with the glow of the moon till each surface shined like a twinkling starlight. He heard that gasp that left Dorian's lips as the King's gaze turned upwards, that singular misstep nearly threw off the vampire's own concentration and yet, he recovered easily enough, guiding the pair back towards the center of the room where they had started. His own rhythmic movements halted in that precious moment, Sebastian entirely uncaring for that question upon his lover's lips. Rather, his mouth pressed firmly against that of Dorian's own, effectively silencing that thought in an effort to share those emotions in which no words seemed right enough to voice.

His hands remained where they had fallen in the wake of that simple brush of adoration - upon his lover's hips as his gaze watched with vague inquisitiveness as Dorian's tongue moved across his mouth in a fashion that was far more habitual of the vampire himself. He felt Dorian's figure still pressed against his own body, the simple sensation hardly unwanted. His head bobbed ever so slightly at Dorian's request to retire to his room and yet it was that mention of that light dancing upon the now dim chandeliers that saw a simper cross his features. "Thank you." He uttered softly, letting his lover's hands fit within his own. "It is...admittedly, I am capable of more than I've let you know." Sebastian responded after a moment, wholly willing to admit the truth of his abilities. It wasn't that he wished to keep them from his lover, quite on the contrary, it hardly seemed a convenient time to mention such things, much less a need to do so. A small grin traced his features but moments later as his blue eyes shifted back towards the King at his side. "Though I suspect you are just as well, Ma Bichette." After all, he knew particularly little of Dorian's gifts beyond that one of Life they had dabbled with and that man's unique capabilities to craft Art beyond that which Sebastian was even capable of dreaming of. Still, he scarcely saw the need to pry, those skills hardly affected his adoration for his lover in any facet.

Instead, the vampire followed his lover back towards the stairs that led to that exquisite apartment. He was hardly oblivious to the absence of those cups of tea, much less the replacement with that one singular teacup exactly in the fashion his lover had claimed it would be. His own eyebrow rose ever so slightly, a small grin tracing his features at the presence of that cup and yet, he hardly paused to enjoy the delectable substance within, rather, his lover seemed quite intent to continue on and Sebastian trailed behind him in kind, without the question. In truth, the vampire was hardly prepared for what laid beyond those two ornate doors, the room itself was significantly larger than any of Sebastian's own, much less that small apartment Dorian had been confined to for the better part of the last year. His own eyebrows rose ever so slightly at the presence of the bed and the curtains that draped around it, so clearly intending to provide the pair with a sort of privacy, despite the decidedly peculiar crown that sat atop the canopy. His gaze swept over the rest of the room, from the bookshelves to the roaring fireplace that all but called to the vampire. This room, he decided without hesitation, he was particularly fond of. There was something particularly...comfortable about this space, something that was familiar, if only because it mirrored his lover's own interests so well. "It seems...very much like you, I like it." The vampire spoke after a moment's consideration, even though it seemed as if Dorian hardly intended to linger even here for very long.

A small glimpse of confusion crossed the vampire's features as he was led through this room and back into yet another tunnel, this one, however, was vastly different than that brightly lit and well guarded path to the treasury. That sound of running water certainly served to further pique his inquisitiveness, and yet, the sheer warmth of that embrace was entirely satisfactory enough that any lingering questions he might have had were entirely silenced. The pair rounded that corner, only to reveal that sparkling blue-green pool of all too enticing warmth, a glimpse of clear surprise momentarily crossed the vampire's features and yet, he could scarcely deny how utterly delightful that bath house was. A soft snort left his nose at the notion that Dorian had simply forgotten to mention this, a prospect that even Sebastian found doubtful, his bright blue eyes turned towards his lover. "You have bested the pastries." He admitted willingly enough, even the most delectable hints of chocolate paled in comparison to the vampire's eternal quest for warmth. He watched as his lover turned towards him, the man's fingers gingerly toying with the top button of his shirt. The vampire's head bobbed ever so slightly in response to his lover, a small simper crossing his features as he reached out to Dorian's own shirt. "I think that sounds lovely, Dorian." Sebastian uttered softly, his own fingers entirely content to work on freeing the King from his own clothing.
