Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

There was something almost pleasing really, in taking Sebastian by surprise with that show off his own power. Sebastian, who had the best powers in the world, who was maybe the most confident being Arlo had ever met- at least when it came to women- was impressed by one of his powers. Damn right he was. Something about that was seemingly pleasing to the younger vampire even if he wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was the lingering effects of that emotional manipulation or something, yeah, probably that. A part of the younger vampire almost wanting to impress the older one. Arlo wholly oblivious to the notion that such a simple want as that surely had far more to do with human nature and basic biology then any after effects. That idea that he could fly a plane or take over a car or.....a vacuum cleaner however, momentarily saw that surprise of sorts touch his features. Alright, maybe he hadn't thought of that. He'd just been using his power to turn his phone on and off without having to reach for it or to change the channel on the TV without having to hunt for the remote he'd lost weeks ago. Maybe he shouldn't tell Sebastian that. His features quickly rearranging into some look of falsified smugness as his shoulders shrugged.

"Yeah, 'course I can. Pretty neat huh?"

Could he really take over a plane?! Car's he'd considered, or at least, he spent a good part of the night trying not to let his power reach them for fear he might cause some major traffic jam or steer a car into a pole or off a bridge or something. His own blue gaze drifted briefly from Sebastian to the apartment around him, the man considering for the first time just how much technology existed there. Maybe he hadn't been exploring this to its fullest extent, his thoughts drawn away from those contemplations by the elder vampire's assurance that it seemed like a pretty good inheritance. Sebastian seeming almost genuinely impressed by it. Maybe Arlo should have been more impressed by it himself. He could think on it later. There were more pressing matters at hand. The vampire managing another smile towards the other before those further realisations of just all those ridiculous things he'd said, let alone done, seemed to become all the clearer. It had seemed like a good idea at the time to touch Seb's leg or fix his hair, those same affectionate gestures now merely seeing his lip quirk slightly in displeasure at himself. A part of the man simply needing to assure his companion that he wasn't in love with him and probably never would be, at least, not like that.

Sebastian, for his part, seemed to think it was funny. The amusement in the elder vampire hardly missed as Arlo's own eyes rolled. Well, as long as he knew where they stood he supposed. Arlo rather more unwilling then he realised to completely risk ruining that friendship they had found with one another. It wasn't that bad having a friend. Having one person in the whole world who didn't hate him or fear him or want to kill him or want money from him. It was....nice, he supposed, to simply have company even despite that vampiric nature that so tended to make their species veritable loners outside that single chosen partner they seemed to obsess over in turn. Company wasn't a bad thing. Especially not with someone else who seemed to like music just as much as he did. Those thoughts largely kept to himself for now before his shoulders rolled in a shrug of sorts, Arlo admitting that maybe he'd underestimated Seb's power when it came to that musical influence. Sebastian seeming almost taken aback by that doubt, that snort of amusement erupting from within himself then.

"What can I say? Most vampires I know are good at using one or two of their abilities and less proficient with the others. I figured this might have been one of your less proficient ones. Besides, I didn't know how good at playing you actually were. That's my first time hearing you."

How was he supposed to know Sebastian some....some....musical prodigy? Let alone the fact he was clearly just as good at using that talent as he was at that....thing he did that made everyone love him and that strange red string thing he had done that night Arlo had tried to bite his hand, the man reaching for his jaw almost reflexively. That had kinda hurt. It was his own loose comment on just how bad those attempts at flirting had been and too- Sebastian's ready agreement that saw his features shift into a scowl once more. Did he have to agree so fast? Thanks Seb. Arlo almost content to argue that point before thinking better off it. Sebastian was good when it came to women. Maybe one day he could use that to his own advantage. It couldn't hurt to keep him in mind could it? Sebastian shooting him a near knowing look, as if the other vampire knew some girl was right around the corner. Hell, maybe she was, with Sebastian's powers he was surprised women weren't circulating the building already. It was the other vampire's willingness to offer anywhere on his body for Arlo to take from however that quickly diminished any other thoughts within his mind. No one had ever offered themselves like that before. Something about that veritable free rein was almost, well, exciting. There was something alluring about that permission, about having someone who wasn't going to try and fight him. That hunger almost spiking readily within him as his gaze roved unashamedly over Sebastian's figure in a fashion distinctly predatory way. His tongue sweeping his lips in simple anticipation as his own blue gaze so readily darkened with that hunger.

He gestured loosely to his companion's neck a moment later, blood tended to run freely from that area, especially when that victim was as well fed as Sebastian claimed to be. That blood too, tending to be warmer and all the more appealing. Sebastian's fingers rose easily to his shirt, undoing those few buttons to push that fabric out of the way as Arlo simply stepped behind him, the younger vampire oblivious to the depth of thought his comment had apparently stirred in Sebastian over his own lover and whether or not that Fae might truly be upset about another vampires mark on Sebastian's neck. After all, Arlo was pretty sure he would have been if his girlfriend had come home with another vampires bite. It was....almost a territorial thing. Arlo unwilling to be the catalyst for any sort of unhappiness in that relationship, even despite his equal unwillingness to forgo that meal. It would simply be better for everyone, he was sure, if Sebastian just waited for those bites to heal. Not that he was going to be able to leave for at least a half hour or so afterward anyway. One finger so easily brushed against the cool flesh of Sebastian's neck then, Arlo feeling for the vein underneath before positioning Sebastian just how he wanted him with those veins so clearly exposed. His hand coming to rest on the other vampires shoulder to hold him still- un-needed as it might have been. That predatory part of him simply demanding it.

It took barely moment for his own head to lower, his lips brushing against that flesh to find that desired spot once more, Arlo aware of that...shudder that seemed to run through the other man. Either Sebastian was nervous or he simply...anticipated that bite. Arlo affording it little thought either way with that meal so close at hand. The sharpened points of his fangs found that flesh a mere breath later, puncturing into that vein as Sebastian gasped, that blood pouring freely into Arlo's own mouth then as his own venom rapidly worked to take Seb's body entirely beneath the sway of that blissful sedation. That soft groan that echoed from within the other vampire was hardly missed, Arlo used to hearing those sounds from his victims even if he remained largely oblivious to just how arousing such actions tended to be for his companion. Arlo himself far to lost within that simply haze of blood to truly listen to those sounds he coaxed from within the other man. That blood was heavenly. It was exquisite. It was better than the last time. Whether it was Sebastian's boyfriend himself or the simple freshness of that blood Arlo hardly knew. It was simply somehow better. That sound of appreciation stirred within his own throat. Arlo so unashamedly taking mouthful after mouthful of that substance until Sebastian's body begun to argue the point, Arlo reluctantly allowing his tongue to close that wound before leaning away.

That exclamation of just how delicious Sebastian was fell ready from his lips, one eye glancing downward as Seb's head rolled easily back to eye him then. Well- at least he was still conscious, that was nice. The weaker vampires were so rarely capable of staying awake. Then again, Seb had survived two bites from him last time. He was oblivious, largely, to that simple desire Sebastian so had to be held. Arlo's victims so rarely in his presence long enough to tell him what they felt. The younger vampire so taking that way Sebastian lent further into his hand as some effort to keep himself upright beneath the heavy press of that sedation. One hand remained on Seb's shoulder then, the other reaching forward to shift that keyboard out of the way before Arlo simply encouraged the other vampire to lean forward and onto that table, giving him something to rest on.

"You won't fall out of the chair if you rest on this bud, that's the way. Just chill there for a half hour or so, yeah?"

His own hand released its hold on him. As long as he kept leaning on that table it was surely hardly going to be easy for him to fall over...right? Arlo stepping back then to collapse onto that sofa nearby, his tongue sweeping across his lips once more in case he'd missed any of that glorious blood. His body felt so....awake, so alive! God, no wonder Seb loved this boyfriend of his. That blood was fucking incredible. How likely was it Seb might want to share his lover? Probably not likely. Probably shouldn't ask that. Then again in his current state of complete and utter happiness maybe he'd be more open to the suggestion? Hmmm, maybe he shouldn't push it all the same. He hardly needed Seb getting upset and taking his glorious blood away. Arlo glanced briefly up once more, making sure his friend was still mostly upright at the table before reaching for his phone with that clear intention of amusing himself with something while Sebastian recovered.

"Hey Seb, do you have Facebook? What's your last name?"

He highly doubted it and yet still it hardly hurt to look, what else was he going to do for an hour or so? Had he said Ellington? It sounded like Ellington. Maybe Elson. Sebastian apparently losing some ability to annunciate in the midst of that high as Arlo's fingers swept across the screen. Hmm, didn't look like he had Facebook although.....it seemed like he had......fan pages? What on earth? Arlo's gaze glanced briefly up from his phone to the man at his table and back again. It sure as hell looked like him. His fingers swept easily across that screen again, typing that name into google this time only to be met with a flood of search results and pictures. His blue gaze settling upon that leading result of Sebastian pictured beside another man, slightly shorter then him and yet equally well dressed. His Royal Majesty the King of Italy? Sebastian knew the King of Italy? Apparently he knew him very well......if the eight thousand images of them together were anything to go by.

"Heeeeey, bud? This boyfriend of yours, the Fae, he's not the King of Italy is he? Because I just googled you and either you have a twin brother or your dating a King. I almost don't even blame you, I'm only going to say this once, but your boyfriend is an attractive guy like how do you genetically blessed people find each other? I, wow...."

Arlo readily sat up upon that couch once more, his gaze fixated on that screen once more as that Wikipedia page came up, pictures of what was clearly a palace lingering before him. A fucking palace! His features nothing short of dumbfounded, the younger vampire reading out loud part of that wiki page then.

"It is speculated that the pair began dating in early twenty sixteen and though it has never been disclosed where or how the couple first met His Majesty has alluded to it having been within a bar outside his native Italy. Sebastian Felix Ellington Brownlow-Cust- wow, is that your full name? You sound like a law firm- was born in blah, blah blah, family, previous relationships, history, oh here we go- the couple recently placed in the top five of the worlds rich list with an estimated net value of over fifty billion dollars....... holy shit! I should have mugged you and held you for ransom the night we met!"

Arlo had spun readily upon that sofa then. Sebastian was, well, famous- and not even low key famous. He had his own Wikipedia page. Several of them. Arlo's gaze widening suddenly.

"Oh my god, I bit you, is the Italian Mafia or something going to arrest me?! Is my apartment bugged?"

This was not at all the time for Sebastian to be....high.
