Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
That sheepish look upon her best friend's face was quick to quell any sort of further lecture she might have given him, not that she was terribly cross with him to begin with. After all, he was her Arlo and she knew he generally did mean well. She certainly wasn't afraid of him but the sudden there-ness had startled her! She could feel the way her heart hammered in her chest. That lopsided grin upon his features brought a near exasperated sigh upon her own and yet, the young woman was hardly bothered by those fangs that protruded from the sides of his lips. Her eyebrow rose ever so slightly at his insistence that he had wanted to speak to her. "You did?" She inquired, even her voice holding some measure of surprise. Those muttered words that left his lips next were far less surprising, now that she considered it. Of course he wanted to know why she was following him. Abigail was pretty certain that it wasn't every day people followed people. It just wasn't done. It was all....weird and creepy. That assurance that he didn't mind her following him, however, caught her off guard. After all she knew why it was less...creepy...maybe...but he certainly didn't know that...did he?

She watched as his head tilted to the side, his hand running through his hair as if that simple question had somehow stressed him far more than it should have. That answer, however, prompted the young woman to quite simply stare at him...blankly. Whatttttt?! She was...what now? She was....cute? That red hue quickly rushed to her cheeks, turning them a near delightful shade of pink. Her Arlo just said that she was CUTE. That sounded successful right? Was he supposed to think she was cute? What did that mean? He did say her panda-self was cute, that was a good thing that he liked her human self...wasn't it? Oh goodness, this was too much to consider and maybe it was all pointless anyways if she told him who she was and then she was just mad at her all together anyways. Then being cute was kinda irrelevant wasn't it? A small frown crossed her features as she attempted to turn all those scary thoughts and options and all those different ways that conversation could go before the young woman simply gave up altogether. One thing at a time, right?

She bit hesitantly upon her lower lip, the girl quite clearly uncertain with all of these thoughts roaming within her mind and that truth still to come. It was a small action - that shoving of his hands within his pockets that quite abruptly pulled the young woman from her thoughts, as if she'd almost forgotten he was there. She took a deep breath before that muttered and occasionally rushed words all fell from her lips in a stream of thought that hardly seemed as well prepared as she had imagined it going. Dear God, even she was certain she sounded like a mess! She inhaled deeply as she finished that long winded apology, those hazel eyes abruptly turning to stare at him only to be met with a look of confusion. It was in that moment that she remembered the guitar in her hands, the woman quite abruptly thrusting it towards him as he hesitantly took it from her, that blank stare on his face at that receipt she presented him with was hardly missed.

It took a moment, clearly, with the two of them simply standing there staring at each other before he so seemed to seize upon that guitar, confirming what she had only just come to discover. Her head bobbed quite attentatively, that comment that she was generous brought a small smile to her lips but weather or not that was generous enough to forgive her, he hadn't said yet. See, she was paying attention. It was that declaration that she was the one confused, however, that certainly did confuse her. "I am?" She inquired, her head tilting to the side as she eyed him. She watched the way his features seemed to wrinkle before he declared they needed to take a few steps back. Steps back? She could do that! In fact, Abigail quite promptly took exactly two steps back, her hazel eyes turning attentively back towards him to fulfill that next desire that might see her back in her best friend's good graces. That question of how she knew his name was an easy one. She could totally answer that one. "You told me it after you jumped off the roof before you stole the car....you did return the car didn't you....?" She inquired, her hazel eyes staring at him in a wholly suspicious fashion. She had known that stealing that vehicle had been a bad thing! She was pretty certain she could be implicated in that if he ever got found out..or when...unless the car owner forgave them...hopefully.

She could hardly stand still, however, as Arlo began to speak, insisting that her declaring them friends was...unusual. Was it? She had always thought they were best friends...he did say they were best friends before, didn't he? She paused, wholly consumed with searching through those memories to see if he had told her this or not - at least, until those three magic words left his lips. I forgive you. A near girlish sound escaped her own mouth, the young woman quite launching herself forward to throw her arms around Arlo's neck. "REALLY?" She exclaimed as she hugged him. "Thank you thank you thank you, I promise I won't ever lie to you again okay?!?!!!" Abigail continued, those bright hazel eyes looking up at him with a sense of glee before that last question finally registered within her thoughts. Who...was she? Oh...oh crackers. She'd forgotten that hadn't she? She leapt back towards that two step distance she had been given before, the girl thrusting her hand out to him in the way she was supposed to introduce herself to people. "My name is Abigail. Or Abby, if you want. Or I mean...you can still call me Chicka too..or Little Bear. It's way better than this one vampire girl I met - she called me Lady and she killed someone Arlo, it was awful." She chattered on, pausing to catch herself before circling back to that question of exactly who she was. "I um...I guess I should...just tell you...sometimes I'm...like this..." She gestured towards her feminine figure as she bit that bottom lip again, pausing before she continued. "And um...sometimes I'm a panda. Oh! And Mr Chocolate man! That guy you said you met that smelled like amazing! He kinda sounded like your version of chocolate! You never told me his name but you said he tasted super good - right? So he's like your dessert!" She seemed quite pleased with herself and that analogy she had made, the girl hardly bothered by the fact that she was quite literally talking to a vampire about eating another person.
