Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

It was altogether pleasurable to still be able to coax that measure of desire from his lover- even after all this time. Dorian hardly oblivious to that press of those more intimate parts against his own bare figure that so seemed to have risen to the occasion beneath those fluttering kisses. That single deeper, more languorous kiss prompting the vampires subtle exploration further, Sebastian's hand coming to rest upon his hip in that clear discovery of his lacking undergarments that had been so silently removed for that very occasion in turn. That tease that left his own lips so prompted that near husky return of those distinctly British lyrics that Dorian found distinctly arousing in turn. To be so much desired was nothing short of appealing to him, his own want furthered all the more as he readily allowed his fiancé to steal but another kiss from him. Even if Sebastian remained content to pretend he hardly knew what day this was when Dorian had so reminded him off it for a week. The Monarch near reluctantly rolling onto his stomach if only for the comfort it provided and too- in some attempt to prevent them from becoming hopelessly distracted as they so often did within the mornings embrace. It was, Dorian had come to discover, one of those distinct pleasures of so carrying on a relationship with a man. Unlike their female counterparts, Sebastian was wholly aware of just how pressing those wants could be first thing in the morning. The vampire all to content to indulge the Fae King in taking care of such matters- only furthering his already extensive adoration for the man whom was to be his husband in those coming months.

It was that soft inquiry of rain that so saw Dorian's own silvered gaze turn towards that window before his head bobbed simply in that singular assurance that it was indeed nothing more than rain that fell outside. Something so mundane as the weather, no matter how pleasant the sound, sure to inspire the vampire to push such concerns aside and allow those workmen to finish that task of installation without his becoming overly suspicious. The Fae content to offer that near musing on the pleasantness of rainfall all the same. Even Dorian himself having become partial to it after that time spent in London. How glorious it was to nestle between those sheets when it rained outside and that breeze became cool with such dampness and the earth smelled so clean and new in its wake. There was something satisfying about that. Contenting almost. Sebastian, he knew, so often reminded of home each time that rain fell. The vampire's simple assertion of that very fact only further assuring the Fae King his second gift would surely be received well. Sebastian requesting the smaller of the two first. The mention of that city that would soon be his own upon their marriage prompting that snort from the vampiric man that only saw that chuckle hum from Dorian himself.

He shifted within his place then, Dorian reaching for that nightstand to pull open that bedside drawer, his hand rummaging a moment through that small collection of oddities within before plucking that neatly wrapped and perfectly rectangular box from its depths. That white and gold parcel handed dutifully to Sebastian then as the man shifted to sit more upright. Dorian content to remain near sprawled upon his stomach in that utter relaxation as his Consort set about undoing that wrapping to reveal the collection of papers within. It was a decidedly curious gift and yet one the Monarch was assured his companion needed. After all, the amount of time Sebastian dedicated to assuring each and every being whom had sent them anything was properly thanked and appreciated surely warranted something as simple as those pre-made thank you cards that stated that very thanks and the man's own name already in place. Dorian having left but a small section for the man to write his own notes if he desired. The Monarch, in turn, having seen to their production in several different colours including Sebastian's favoured blue. That notepad, envelopes and invitation cards so having come with that very set the Fae had designed that decoration for himself. Affording them a seemingly simple and yet surprisingly ornate surface when better inspected. It was, for Dorian, a decidedly practical gift and one he was assured so met Sebastian's own specifications not to gift him something terrible exciting on that singular day he held so much reservation off. That soft assurance that they were lovely seeing that warm grin adorn his own features.

That such a gift might be deemed as wonderful was nothing short of satisfying for the Fae. Dorian so hardly anticipating that fashion in which Sebastian suddenly reached for his own bedside drawer to fish that pen from within its depths. The other man shifting then to sit in just a way as to prevent Dorian from seeing exactly what it was he was writing within that card, even as the Fae rose from his own relaxed position to sit more upright in turn and attempt to peer over his lovers shoulder. What on earth was he writing? That near impish grin that had settled upon Sebastian's features so prompted a curious look upon his own as that folded thank you card was so handed to him and Sebastian lent back against those pillows once more. Dorian neatly taking that card to unfold it.

"Thank you, darling but you didn't have to- oh my."

Those accented words were near abruptly cut short as his gaze fell upon that swiftly penned poem he had been presented with. That amusement upon his features entirely clear as that grin danced upon them, that playful eye roll afforded a moment later as his gaze shifted to meet Sebastian's own.

"This is quite the poem, Mon Cher. I find myself surprised you have not been published with such skill as this. Although, one cannot deny the truth behind it. We should examine it further, should we not?"

It was surely his own turn then, to allow that teasing simper to find place upon his lips. Dorian folding that little card neatly once more to place upon that table beside him before the Monarch slide easily from that bed, that sheet falling away to reveal that entirely naked frame Sebastian had so already discovered. Dorian assured to afford the man only that view from behind, at least for now, his hands coming to rest on his own hips as he stood at the side of the bed. Affording Sebastian that distinctly uninterrupted view of his behind and those clean lines of his figure. Dorian so glancing over his shoulder then to meet the man's gaze. His words nothing short of playful.

"I think you are correct, this may be my sexiest, although there is still the front..."

His left hand lifted then, tracing lightly over his own chest and the toned plains of his stomach, Dorian shifting to turn in the same moment, his own hand travelling lower and lower to run over those more sensitive parts of his anatomy. His fingers so surely set to grace just those places as he turned to afford his lover the sight of it. Only for that power for invisibility to abruptly grasp him. Dorian disappearing utterly from view at the pivotal moment only to reappear a mere second later at the end of that turn- facing away from Sebastian once more with a look of utter innocence so painted upon his features, as if he had not at all pilfered the sight of such a thing from his lover. That impish grin entirely wide.

"The front was very good too."

That warm chuckle rose easily from within his throat then, Dorian allowing one eye to raise slightly all the same before he shifted once more, the Fae taking those few steps towards that partially opened window then, Dorian peering out to assure those people had left before he moved to lean easily against the frame. His arms folded over his chest, Sebastian afforded that tempting full-length view as he did. Dorian so attempting, in that moment, to coax his lover from the warmth of those sheets. That cool night breeze pushed gently against those curtains, that moonlight affording his skin that near shine and yet it was hardly that view he so wished his lover to focus on entirely in that moment, his gaze turned back to the man then.

"Bastian, come and see the rain."

His figure alone was surely enough to prompt the vampire from bed, a decidedly difficult task on most occasions. Dorian waiting only so long as it took the vampire to make his way towards him before gesturing down to that 'rain' that had cast that splendid sound throughout that room. That fountain was nothing short of glorious and decidedly large. A single, dark stone wall so provided the majority of that raining sound, the water running over and down it to sound like rain itself before pooling in a terribly large rectangular basin below. Several life-sized bronze deer had been sculpted to appear as if they were running through that pool and leaping out the other side, water bubbling about their hooves as if to appear as if they broke that water's surface. A rather large buck bringing up the rear of that herd as he stepped from the grass into the pool itself with more water sprouting from his antlers. It was nothing short of magnificent in every sense of the word. Several lights having been installed around it to set those bronze deer aglow. Several neighbours leaning over their fences to eye that new installation. That elderly woman next door always had been terribly nosy. Dorian scowling at her slightly before leaning back into Sebastian. That wry grin still in place.

"See? Your second gift was not too much larger than the first at all."
