Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

His gaze continued to linger upon the woman with a measure of care, watching as she lifted that wine eagerly back to her lips. The taste, he feared, seemed to agree with her decidedly well and yet he suspected little harm would come from one glass- especially with dinner soon to be served. He merely need assure no one poured her anymore for a little afterward or that she could be encouraged to drink some water in turn. Her lack, he suspected, of any real alcohol before sure to toy with her system a little and yet, perhaps the boldness that came from wine would not be too terrible a thing if it should prompt her own actions a little. The Monarch allowed such thoughts to pass for now. His attention instead taken up with attempting to explain that matter of packs to the girl. How curious that he might find himself explaining packs to a Were! Raven, surely, would have taken a great deal of pleasure from his attempts. Dorian quite finding he understood the manner of packs and yet what they actually did on a day to day basis remained to be seen. Until this singular moment he had never quite thought to ask. Abigail sighed softly then before suggesting she did not have any such pack even if that idea of day trips seemed to appeal to her, his own head bobbing softly.

"Yes, I think day trips do sound lovely. Bastian and I are hoping that once the wedding is over the press will settle down and we might find it easier to get in and out of the house ourselves."

He commented idly, his features frowning slightly at that consideration of the paparazzi he was rather sure had camped permanently outside their gates. Dorian dismissing the thought at Abigail's sudden admittance she was sure she knew Raven too, that surprise finding his gaze then as the Fae nodded readily as that description of the curly haired Werewolf he was offered. Any words he had been inclined to add abruptly halted at Abigail's declaration that Raven didn't know what a balloon was. That look of disbelief finding him then. Even he knew about balloons! How on earth had Raven gone so very long in her life without knowing what those were? Did her pack not use them for celebrations? Perhaps they did not and yet surely she had been...somewhere before her pack? Perhaps she was simply not inclined to parties. She did seem a private sort of person after all and not the type to be engaged in such affairs and yet, in this, Dorian so shared Abby's own surprise.

"This is shocking! I learned of balloons at least a year ago. I am terribly surprised she has managed to live so long without knowledge of them."

Dorian and Abigail both, it seemed, shared this surprise in Raven. The Fae shaking his head softly all the same before that talk shifted to their vampiric companions and the manner in which Arlo and Abigail had first met. The story of that runaway apple hardly the sort of story he anticipated and yet it seemed oddly fitting for the pair all the same. Abby lamenting the loss of that very apple that had so led her to her companion to begin with. Dorian finding himself distinctly curious of their relationship all the same. The Monarch rather unsure of just where the pair sat. They were friends, clearly and yet whether or not Arlo was courting her at the same time remained slightly more difficult to deduce. The pair were certainly interested in one another. A blind man could surely have seen that and yet for that moment in the least Dorian hardly pried any further as the woman asked after just how Sebastian and himself had met. That warm simper finding his lips again at even the consideration of the night that had so drastically changed his life for the better. Even now, after all this time, the affection he held for his lover seemed all the more potent. That very warmth blossoming within his chest at even the thought of Sebastian and that night.

That soft assurance they had met at a bar was perhaps the simplest explanation of that night. Dorian hardly choosing to regale a woman he suspected was off a truly innocent fashion with the tale of that hotel room that had followed after. Dorian, instead, so simply assuring the young woman that he had found his lover terribly charming that night. Abby promptly announcing that Arlo too had apparently witnessed this charm and that Sebastian was surely thought off as charming by a great many people. The Monarch unable to prevent that soft chuckle that rose from within his throat then. After all, he knew so exactly how his lover acquired his meals. That very 'charm' the means metaphorical weapon of sorts and yet, truly, he suspected the young woman before him did not understand the meaning of her own words. Dorian merely allowing his head to nod.

"Yes, I think Arlo is quite right. I have heard of my fiance's charm from others. I am glad you think so too."

One eye lifted near teasingly, those words uttered more loudly then as Dorian so afforded Sebastian that playful glance before his attention returned to Abby at large. That conversation shifted with his own idle comment that he found it decidedly pleasing that Sebastian had made a friend he seemed to enjoy so much. Arlo's distinct lack of being a bug a feature of the man Dorian found himself terribly fond off in turn. Really, he rather suspected his lover was entirely capable of making friends. Sebastian was charming, easy-going, interesting to talk to and so had a habit of putting people at ease in his company and yet Dorian suspected Sebastian deliberately avoided any sort of genuine friendships in turn. For all his fiance's social capability, he distinctly seemed to enjoy his own space and really the Monarch could hardly fault him for that. Still, that he had, somehow, chosen to befriend Arlo was distinctly pleasing. Even if Dorian was rather assured Arlo was not at all the sort of man he pictured Sebastian befriending at all! The pair were distinctly compatible, a rarity in vampires, or so he had been led to believe. The young woman's query off just why that was so prompting his own mention of those distinctly territorial instincts the species seemed to possess. From what Sebastian had told him, in the least, vampires were very near designed to work alone, those married or mated couples excluded. That territorial nature and those possessive tendencies hardly inclining them to making friends with one another. It as largely Arlo's own nature, Dorian suspected, that facilitated that friendship at all. After all, Arlo so apparently held little to no interest in the blood of anything not another vampire. Sebastian and Arlo not truly sharing a food source and as such they had little need to regard one another as any sort of competition.

It was that sudden musing from the young woman on whether or not Arlo was possessive of Sebastian that saw Dorian pause once more. Truthfully he had never considered the idea. The Monarch distinctly curious of that very fact. Arlo hardly appeared to be as such and yet too, Dorian readily suspected that if such possessiveness did exist it would surely present itself over Sebastian's blood rather than the man's affection or attention. Arlo thereby hardly seeming put out by Dorian's existence in any fashion (a terribly fortunate thing). Yet, still, how curious an idea it was! Would it be a terrible thing to ask? Was that considered impolite? The Fae King not even really sure how to word that very thing. His thoughts interrupted once more by Abigail's announcement that Sebastian....tasted like chocolate?

"Does he?"

Dorian's gaze shifted towards his lover once more as if contemplating that very thing. The Monarch hardly perturbed with the idea of Arlo feeding from Sebastian in any real sense. After all, that was Sebastian's own allowance to make and while surely it was a distinctly curious thing and indeed, at times, that very feeding could so prove to be an intimate affair in his own experience he held a rather great assurance that it was not as such for the pair of vampires. Arlo, after all, a rather distinctly heterosexual fellow to begin with. Odd though he was. Still, the very idea that Sebastian tasted like something was almost....fascinating. Perhaps he might have to ask Sebastian if blood....tasted like.....not bood? Such thoughts! Dorian brushing them aside to be considered later on. The Monarch instead turning that conversation back to Abby herself with the query off just how long she and Arlo had been dating. That very question, it seemed, flustering the poor girl far more than he had truly intended it to and yet, he supposed, that very flustered look provided him that answer he sought. The pair hardly having declared that affection they so clearly had for one another.
The girl's features were very near aflame in that moment. Dorian unable to prevent that soft chuckle in response. Really, he supposed, he should hardly tease the girl and yet how very sweet that blossoming young love was. Dorian allowing his shoulders to shrug with ease as that salad was placed down. The man assuring her simply that she really should consider that idea of dating the fellow more readily- abysmal at courting though he apparently was- most modern day men were. That near cheekily added comment that Arlo's very nice behind was surely a reason to consider it further seemed to prompt the most telling reaction from the woman yet. His name very near shouted then, the man rather assured most of the table was about to be privy to her words as she promptly declared he had Sebastian to occupy his eyes with (a pastime he enjoyed extensively as it was). That flailing about off her fork only further prompted those ready chuckles, Dorian so struggling contain his amusement. How very innocent she was! Dorian maintaining that same easy calm and yet that impish grin danced glorious upon his lips all the same.

"Don't worry yourself to much, darling. I promise you my eyes shall remain firmly on Sebastian instead of your friend. I think though, that you have quite answered your own question as to whether or not you might like to date your Arlo. Since it is so you should not like anyone else looking at him, hmm?"

One eye lifted easily upward in that final gentle tease. Abigail so having fallen effortlessly victim to that little...test of sorts. Were not Fae terribly cunning? Her feelings over Arlo distinctly assured even if she herself had not realised them. Dorian content to allow her to consider the very idea. How amused Sebastian would be over this tale later! The Monarch seeking to remove that pressure from the woman then as she readily assured Arlo she was just fine. How adorable they were. Dorian instead asking after Arlo's music and that singular song they had heard. That pointed look from Sebastian as the vampire hurriedly sought to inform Arlo of how significant that singular 'gig' would be seeing Dorian's own head nodded in agreement.

"Yes, there would be a great deal of media interest in you afterward and on a worldwide scale too.I fear I do not know what a stadium is so I cannot quite say."

That look of intrigue on the mans features was clear. Dorian easily perceiving Sebastian's attempts to tempt the other vampire first rather then merely bluntly offer and yet that admittance from Arlo that he simply did not sing saw that curiosity find him once more. If it was the very band whom had abandoned him that had told him that very thing...was it not possible to consider they had lied? That they had, perhaps, lied all along? Dorian finding himself terribly curious in that moment.

"I think just the music would surely suffice, or perhaps a singer for you could be found although, might I ask, did you ever sing in any of the songs you used to play? Even in the background?"

He paused briefly to wait for that answer before Arlo's question of those specific details saw the Fae glance toward Sebastian once more, assuring himself his lover was quite alright with his announcing their intent. Dorian pausing a final time as Arlo suddenly queried Sebastian on those matters of law. The Monarch himself lacking any true knowledge in this area at all, such a question, he was sure, best left to Sebastian himself.

"The 'gig' as you call it, would be in Italy, at the Palace of Caserta actually, if you could play more than one song I am quite sure it would be appreciated and we would very much like to discuss other songs with you. Sebastian and I were wondering if you would consider playing at our wedding in February. If you would consider it, we would gladly pay for your accommodation, wherever you and Abby might like to stay."
