Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

just a man at a wedding

It seemed a day like any other. The sun rose like it was supposed to and he rose with it after another restless night with Tenley. She was starting to sleep a little longer when she did sleep but night time was definitely her awake time, much as her mother. Troy had long ago given up sleep on a regular basis, what between hunting things that come out at night and then when his relationship started with Amelia, he knew if he wanted to see more of her, he'd have to be awake more at night. He still made sure to get errands done and such during the day as needed and sleep came in 2-5 hours at a time if he was lucky. He wouldn't regret it for the world though. Tenley was fast becoming his life just as his love for Amelia only seemed to grow. His family was perfect in his eyes and he wouldn't change it for anything.

He stood in front of the floor length mirror though, adjusting the suit and tie he'd chosen for today's activities. He checked the tightness of the tie once more with a thoughtful scowl. He usually hated being in such proper clothes but he figured a wedding called for it if nothing else. Today and Dorian and Sebastian's big day and he wouldn't miss it for the world. He was happy for the Fae king and was glad he'd found someone to make him so happy. Maybe some day he would have the same with Amelia. He couldn't wait. He'd already picked out the ring, unbeknownst to her. He wanted to wait a little bit until their lives settled down a little. Tenley was growing like a weed and he didn't want her thinking he was only asking out of obligation to their child. He wanted her to know it was for her and nothing else.

He didn't join the growing crowd outside of wherever Dorian and Sebastian were staying today. He could already feel the buzz in the air even from their hotel room. One could feel it in the air. There'd been line upon line of cars going into the city for the past few days. He got so tired of the traffic that he parked his baby (the car) and started walking to get his errands done cause it went much quicker. It was irritating but nothing he couldn't handle. He was sure Dorian and Sebastian didn't mind all the attention and they deserved it. Once everything was done on his end, he called out to Amelia, making sure she was ready as well. He went into the bedroom to make sure she didn't need help with Tenley's dress then they headed out. This time he decided to take his car, just so Amelia wouldn't have to walk in heels. Luckily, it didn't take long to find the church, though the cars lining the streets made it near to impossible to find a parking spot.

Finally he got settled into one and reached confidently for Amelia's hand, walking through the decorative double doors to find their seats. He was almost surprised to find himself and his family being ushered toward the front rows for family and friends. While he considered Sebastian and Dorian friends by this time, he was sure there were plenty more important people to fill those spots. He recognized a few faces and nodded hello to those that recognized him but otherwise there were a lot of new faces in the crowd as he led Amelia to their seats. It didn't seem too long after that the doors opened behind them and everyone was motioned to rise from their seats. He glanced at the altar where Sebastian waited. He looked nice in his suit and Troy could tell he was a little nervous but mostly he just looked excited. Troy could only hope to look that put together when the day came for them. He squeezed Amelia's hand at the idea.

He watched silently as Dorian walked down the aisle to his groom. He almost seemed dazed but they couldn't keep their eyes off each other in the moment and he could practically hear all the hearts melting around him. He shifted his weight, more out of impatience from standing than anything but he cleared his throat softly and remained standing next to his family. He eyed the man at the altar next to Sebastian. Was that the Pope? Like, the real Pope? It seemed almost surreal but then it made all the sense in the world because Dorian was a king. He smirked to himself, his eyes lighting up for a minute as they all took their seats and the ceremony began. He listened quietly as the Pope spoke his peace. Then the "I do's" took place and the rings were brought out. He didn't even want to know how much those things cost.

Once the rings were on and the vows said, crowns were brought out and the Pope had to ask Sebastian some questions about taking up the royal crown as a prince married to the king. Troy leaned forward in his seat a little, mesmerized by the ceremony as it continued. He'd never seen anything like this before. Sure, he'd seen kings crowned and kings killed. He'd also seen many a wedding but nothing like this. A Fae king was pretty much unheard of save for Dorian. He stood once it was all over, joining in the applause as Dorian and Sebastian walked out hand in hand to their carriage that was waiting. The horses were splendid looking and he grinned ear to ear and clapped as they climbed in, his arm draping around Amelia's waist to pull her and Tenley close so the crowd wouldn't overwhelm them. He reached for Tenley. "Want to see the horses, sweetheart?" He held her up over the other heads so she could see, watching her reaction before he carefully handed her back to Amelia.

As the crowd started to disperse after the carriage and guard pulled away, Troy led Amelia and Tenley back to the car, herding them in so they could follow to the rest of the ceremony. It didn't take them long to find the palace. Again, he cruised around until he found a suitable parking spot then led his family into the crowd outside the balcony. They looked up, waiting patiently until Dorian and Sebastian appeared. Knowing this was tradition, he clapped along with everyone else as they kissed, then made a path through the crowd for his family so they could join the rest of the family and friends for the reception. They made their way into the palace and he gazed around with a knowing look. It was splendid. He glanced back at Amelia, wanting to make sure she didn't get overwhelmed with it all. He squeezed her hand once more in reassurance as they made their way into the reception area and found their assigned table. Taking a seat, he started talking with those he knew before the doors opened and Dorian and Sebastian made their appearance.

He clapped along with everyone else and stood politely, making his way over to congratulate the pair. A little girl cut him off though, spinning in front of the pair and asking if they wanted any macaroons. He smirked at the sight before holding out his hand. "Just wanted to say my congratulations, Dorian, Sebastian. This place is magical." He smiled warmly, shaking their hands.
