Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

It was a terribly intriguing thing, really, to so watch the vampire work in every sense. Even if that very thing the man 'hunted' was so decidedly tame as little chocolate eggs. It was a rare thing for Sebastian to make mention of any of those more vampiric traits, let alone make use of them- and yet a part of the Monarch was intrigued by them all the same. He was unaware, truly, to the extent of his lovers capabilities in this area and yet he suspected Sebastian's ability to perceive those chocolatey scents was far superior to his own attempts to hide them. His husband moved with a clear methodology about the room, his features wrinkling as he attempted to pinpoint those scents. Such an expression rather comical truly and yet Dorian struggled to hold back that laughter all the same. Those treats concealed behind the tv and curtains and within the containers within the kitchen were all found in due time. The Monarch frowning slightly at the mess Sebastian seemed content to leave in his wake. The normally dutifully neat englishman far to caught up in that game to return order to any of those objects he rifled through and yet, for now, Dorian was merely content to grin at such antics. Even if they would surely need go about the apartment and straighten everything once more after such a game was over.

It was no surprise, truly, that Sebastian had so come at last to the bookshelf. That near baffled appearance on the mans features prompting that chuckle to his own once more. Dorian's silver gaze lingering with no small measure of delight upon his lover as the vampire proceeded to search above those books, upon the shelf and in between them before at last proceeding to remove the book from the shelf entirely- only to be faced with a blank space. That dumbfounded look once more seeming to spread across Sebastian's facade right along with that mutter of confusion. Of all the things that might confuse a vampires senses, books had so managed it! It was, perhaps, not near so surprising as it should have been when one was given to afford it thought. After all, the pages of books held a scent even he alone could detect when lifted upward. Those very pages surely concealing that hint of chocolate, not to mention the amount of people whom had surely touched those books before, further muddling that scent. Dorian so momentarily contemplating whether or not Sebastian truly could deduce how many people had touched a book before. Surely his senses could not be so advanced as that, could they? What a curious thing to consider!

It was gravity, however, that seemed determined to reveal that veritable trick Dorian had played. That first, singular egg tumbling from the pages to land upon the floor at Sebastian's feet. The vampire taking several moments still to understand just how such a thing had occurred before Sebastian seemed to seize upon that idea with veritable gusto. Near every book from that shelf unceremoniously upended until those final four eggs had been found and proudly added to that overflowing easter basket. Leaving just one egg to be found. That glorious chocolate rabbit still concealed behind himself. Yet how the very presence of those presents had changed that game! Dorian quite unable to ignore those boxed gifts Sebastian had placed so temptingly upon the dining room table, only to assure him they were indeed his birthday gifts. Dorian was, for all his love of surprises, utterly hopeless when it so came to receiving them himself. The Monarch's curiosity so content to get the better of him in that moment and near torment him with the plethora of possibilities of just what his lover might gift him. Sebastian wholly capable of being as notoriously vague about those surprises as he was persistent in his questioning. The Monarch rather assured Sebastian enjoyed watching that curiosity gnaw at him!

Still, that final egg he possessed could surely be used as something of a bargaining chip, could it not? Dorian wholly content to inform his lover that he would never find that final egg without a hint of sorts. A hint he was content to trade for a hint in turn- one that pertained to his own gifts. His head nodded towards them then as Sebastian came to sit upon the end of that bed. The vampire assuring him such a deal sounded decidedly fair before proceeding to take several moments longer then he was sure he needed to contemplate that very hint he was owed. Dorian so affording the man a truly dubious look in those moments that followed before he was finally presented with that hint. His eyes lifting in clear surprise at such a baffling riddle! His error had so been allowing Sebastian to dictate that hint to begin with. Dorian assured it was designed to be just the right amount of vague and curious all at once, his inquisitiveness only further flamed by that very thing! His own head tilted slightly, as if eyeing that box from another angle might somehow prove fruitful as he further contemplated just what might combine their favoured activities and that he too had so given the vampire the idea for to begin with. Dorian quite unable to prevent that query on just what the contents was. Sebastian promptly shaking his head only to remind him he had asked for a hint alone. How wretched! The Monarch content to continue to eye that box all the same even if he so hardly dared approach it until it had been offered to him officially. How much that curiosity gnawed at him!

It was Sebastian's suggestion that such a gift might be traded for the final egg entirely that seemed to provoke the Monarch's consideration once more. Sebastian, he was sure, knew exactly how incapable he was of bypassing such a deal as that. That near defeated sigh falling from him then and yet- that warm simper remained all the same as he promptly informed his lover that such blackmail was surely cheating. That declaration that the final easter treat was right in front of him so managed to earn the Fae King yet another baffled look. Sebastian peering over that bed before eyeing the sides of it and inquiring as to the possibility of chocolate bars in place of a mattress. Dorian's eyes playful rolling then as his head simply shook.

"I fear I did not go to quite that extent."

That glorious chocolate rabbit was pulled out easily from behind his back then to be presented to the vampire. That audible gasp falling from Sebastian's lips in a manner so comical Dorian could hardly prevent that laughter the parted his own lips in turn. Sebastian promptly declaring this to be some measure of cheating all the same. That warm grin only further brightened upon his own lips in the wake of that very accusation. His shoulders lifting in a teasing shrug.

"I do not think I broke any rules. It is not my fault that your nose is confused, Mon Cher."

He lent but easily forward all the same, allowing his lips to brush softly against his lovers own in that single, stolen kiss. That 'Happy Easter' upon uttered but a moment later as Sebastian readily returned that gesture and thanks for that game he was rather assured they had both thoroughly enjoyed. The Monarch settling upon his knees beside his lover then. Dorian incapable of affording the man any more than those few moments to examine that easter rabbit before Sebastian's name was all but whined from his lips. Dorian quite incapable of staving off his own curiosity for those presents any longer- no matter how un-royal such impatience was on his part. That soft chuckle upon Sebastian lips and those ready words were at last followed by the vampire rising from the bed to wander towards that dining room table. The Englishman commenting upon a chocolate festival of some kind. Even Dorian so momentarily distracted from those impending gifts.

"A chocolate festival? In England? I think I should like to see this very much! Where in England is it?"

How delightful such a thing might be! Dorian's thoughts so momentarily lingering upon just what a chocolate festival might entail before Sebastian at last returned with those gifts- only to present him with the smaller one and not at all the larger box he had so teased him off earlier. That glimpse of surprise he afforded the vampire readily quelled by Sebastian's firm assurance the bigger gift need be saved for last. Dorian moving to take that smaller one from him then before he set about unwrapping it, revealing that faux leather box within. The neatly printed name of that jewelry store they had visited once before readily printed across the front. Sebastian so mentioning those fountain pens they had previously shopped for as he unwrapped one of those easter treats. Dorian's fingers brushing across that leathered surface before gently opening the lid of that box. His fingers gently parted that ebony lining then to at last reveal that golden band so encrusted with diamonds and four, neat circles about it. That soft gasp leaving his lips at the sight of it. How glorious such a gift! How he adored gold! Even despite how very royal it was of him. Gold was by far is favoured shade in anything. His fingers carefully lifted that bracelet from its box to eye it more readily, those words printed upon the lid hardly missed and yet his very query upon just what they might hint towards was readily answered at Sebastian's assurance such a band was designed not to come off once it had been put on. That ready curiosity was clear in his gaze once more and yet he so allowed his lips to press to Sebastian's cheek in that moment first, drawing his lover closer to him. That grin ao adorning his features brightly as he continued to eye that beautiful gift. That pure delight he took in it surely clear.

"It is exquisite, I adore it! It is my favoured colour too. Thank you, Bastian!"

That such a gift was, perhaps, in this modern time, more often presented to a wife had hardly occurred to him. After all, within his own age it had not at all been uncommon nor curious for men to wear such things in any sense. Dorian so hardly concerned by such things all the same. That glorious piece of jewelry held toward Sebastian then. Dorian wholly curious of his wonderful new gift and the very permanence a piece of jewelry that did not come off might present. The words printed within that box only further prompting such curiosity. There was, after all, quite no limit to his love for his husband- of that he was assured all the same.

"How does it work? I think I should quite like to wear it."
