Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He didn't like that the bullet wound wasn't healing as fast as he felt it should. Normally as soon as the tweezers came out, the skin would have already been drawing itself closed. He glanced up at her, concern flashing in his eyes. Maybe she was more drained than he thought. He hoped once she got some blood, her wound would close up and he would feel a lot better about it. A part of him had actually started to grow jealous of her donors so when she chose to drink from one of them and not him, he had to look away, his jaw tight. He knew it wasn't intimate like it was for him and her but he'd grown almost possessive of her bite. It was weird how things changed so drastically for him when it came to vampires, all because of Amelia and her affect on him.

When he offered to lead her to bed, he smiled fondly as she took his arm. He didn't mind at all that she has to lean on him. In fact, he cherished every time she allowed herself to be weak around him. It made him feel like he was still the provider for this family, still the protector. There was a time when he would have minded the mess they were leaving behind since he was used to living by himself. He'd never been a neat freak or anything like that but he did believe in organization. He'd gotten used to living with Amelia though and watching the way her cleaners almost seemed to enjoy their work, like it gave them purpose. Or at least they got paid good to do it so it must somehow make the job itself more enjoyable. Either way, he'd learned not to even try so he didn't even glance twice at the mess of bloodied gauze and the wooden spoon with the sharp teeth marks in it.

As they made it to the top of the stairs, he felt her pull away to go to Tenley's room. Smirking to himself, he let her go, waiting patiently for her by the top of the stairs. He took the moment to memorize her features as she stopped in the doorway to look at their daughter. He loved seeing the look of pure love on her face. It only attracted him to her more. As she came back to him, he let his fingers trail gently up her arm, giving into his urge to touch her as he followed her to the bedroom. When they got inside the room, he let her undress in peace, removing his own shirt and pants till he only had boxers on. He could never get enough of seeing her in nothing but underwear and was sure she could tell if she saw the growing bulge in his boxers but he wouldn't act on it tonight. They both needed rest. She covered herself up with one of his T-shirt's and if anything, it only made her more attractive. She looked a hell of a lot better in it than he did. He watched her, mesmerized, as she crawled into bed and covered up. Finally with a reluctant sigh, he crawled into bed beside her, careful not to move the mattress too much in case of hurting her. At her words, he turned to her, his gaze softening as he reached out to cup her chin, running his finger across her jawline.

"I would never let that happen. No one is losing anyone. You've got the number one hunter on your team, baby. " he smirked playfully but his face sobered as he slowly leaned in to kiss her forehead. "I love you so much, Amelia. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you or Tenley." He could see the tears in her eyes and he felt anger rise up inside him at those people in the club who thought they could take innocent lives like that and scare her. It was unforgivable. He could only hope the Council delivered swift justice to them.
