Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

weep for yourself, my man

malek.

The man was not entirely back to normal. No. Not by a long shot and yet, the presence of Chizue was calming him, sending that beast into a quiet slumber, at least for now. He never knew when he would lash out again, Malek all too wary of the demon inside him. There was a point in his life where he had let the monster take over, to let his feelings be washed away and to simply not care. His way back to humanity had been a long and an exhausting road and yet, he had managed, simply locking away that other part of him for as long as possible. Tonight had been an accident, one that had almost plunged him back into darkness once more and his normal iron grip on his other half seemed weak in comparison to even just this morning. And even in his panic, he managed to seek out Chizue, the only person he could think of. She didn't know it but she had been the one to bring him back to himself, a glimpse of a petite Asian woman within the bar sending him fighting for control. Of course, it wasn't Chizue but it certainly reminded him of her.

Sighing, Malek looks up once more into the mirror, the man almost shocked at what he saw. It had been at least a century since he had seen the man beneath the beard. It made him look younger and well, at least he would fit into the modern era once more. Running a hand throw his short locks, he finishes cleaning the room as best as he can before slipping into those jeans. A bit snug and a touch too short but at least he was out of a towel, not that it wouldn't have mattered with how low slung these jeans were, revealing that impeccable 'v' men had. Exiting the bathroom, his gun metal eyes find Chizue sitting on the sofa as he apologizes for the lack of clothing. He doesn't miss the pink that so adorns her cheeks, Malek unable to keep a slight, knowing smile from his lips as he makes his way into the room. He hardly comments on her blush, though he desperately wants to, simply because he enjoyed making her squirm and... the conversation could be directed away from him.

As he falls into the couch's embrace, it doesn't take him long to direct a question at her, that very question seemingly to take her entirely off guard. Malek can't help but smile at her and in amused way as he continues on. His gaze watches her immediately look away from him, her cheeks lighting up in possibly the most adorable way. He had seen the woman blush before, the man the primary cause of such a reaction and yet, he had never seen her fumble for her words so desperately! He allows her to answer, the man all but holding back a bout of laughter, not wanting to offend her. "Ah, only good? I am disappointed in myself, I was hoping it would have been a night worthwhile," he sighs, though it's all in such a playful manner. He pauses briefly, hoping to make her squirm a bit more.

"I think I owe you an apology," he finally states, watching her features carefully, "You didn't seem like yourself and I may have taken advantage of the situation," he says a bit more gently, "If I didn't know any better you were almost like you were acting like someone else," he prods softly, not wanting to make her uncomfortable and yet, a spark of curiosity dances in his grey eyes. "Would that have something to do with your affinity you wield?" He asks, though he isn't invasive about his question, leaving it up to the girl if she wanted to answer or not. Malek always being rather curious about magic and powers the supernatural could wield. He found it fascinating, diving into the history and wondering what made it possible. Was magic just science? How were vampires still alive but not? It was possibly the only reason why the man traveled the world in search of such answers.
