Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

It wasn't her fault that she didn't understand what Dorian was truly speaking about. The girl never had a discussion like this before. It was like anyone in the Ark came to her, sat down, and proceeded to talk about sex or even alluded towards to such a thing. Not even her close friend, the raven-haired witch, was bold enough to speak of such things. The night of her Bachelorette party some of the girls treaded around the topic. Bearing her gifts of lingerie playfully teasing the poor girl for a moment, but that was about as far as she went with such conversations. Talking about sex with the King of Italy was hardly a topic she expected to have. In her innocent mind when Dorian spoke about being in bed with his husband for the majority of the time on their honeymoon she thought they were sick. Why else should she think otherwise? Her head would tilt to the side in confusion as he explained that neither he nor his husband was capable of being sick. Well then why else would they be in bed all the time?! What was there to do in bed when you can enjoy the place around you? She sat in her chair confused as the man smiled at her and began to laugh. Blue-grey eyes widened in shock as Dorian explained just what he truly meant by being in bed all that time during their honeymoon. An audible gasp came out as she stared at him hardly believing what he was saying. Shaking her head she spoke aloud quite hotly too.

"Dorian! Speaking about such things is-is-is..in-in-inappropriate. I don't even have conversations with my own husband about it. And...knowing about my sex life...why would you need to know?! I-I-I don't ask about you and Sebastian!"

Her nostrils flared for a moment partly in embarrassment and in shock. Her cheeks flushed a very dark red feeling absolutely mortified. Really he had the nerve! The nerve to inquire on such private matters. He was a King and she should not be talking about such things. Why in the world would he even speak to her about such a thing? And asking if she she slept with her husband. Of course she slept with him, but she wasn't going to share what they did or how many times. It wasn't something one discussed with others, she was sure. Was this what males discussed with one another? Oh my God, she thought, is this something Tobias conversed with Jackal or god forbid Tetradore? She couldn't look the man in his eyes again if Tetradore knew. She would have to tell Tobias when she got home that they would need to keep such matters to themselves. Setting her tea cup down on the table she grabbed her fingers nervously, unsure with how to respond. He was a King and he asked her of something and she should answer. She didn't dare to look him in the eye. Instead she mumbled looking down at her hands.

"I'm sorry Dorian. We did um sleep together, yes we did, but we also had fun doing other things too. We're we supposed to spend all our time in bed?"

Did a honeymoon really mean they ought to spend all their time together in bed? Why would they travel somewhere different just to have sex all the time? That didn't make sense. A honeymoon was meant to be a time for the two of them to be alone together, to do something fun and away from the others not to just have sex all the time. They could do that in the Ark without the others knowing. They've done that even before they were married and it was never a problem. When the conversation shifted towards her proposal of chasing the paparazzi away she wasn't surprised to hear him turn down her idea. Although his response made it seem like she didn't understand what she meant. Shaking her head in disagreement she responded politely back to him.

"I didn't mean the paparazzi. I meant your government. They can't tell you want to do if you do not like it. Tell them you'll stay even if there are random animals running about."

The matter about the tea set was something she did want to settle today. When she opened up his gift with Tobias she was flabbergasted to see such an expensive gift. Why in the world would he give her a tea set made out of gold? Other metals would have been quite sufficient. Gold seemed unreasonable and she was nervous to tell her friend she didn't want them. It was rude, she knew that, and yet she had to tell him. Although it appeared that Dorian was capable of persuading her to keep his gift. It wasn't because he thought it was improper for him to take the gift back. Rather it was the idea that he would send her another tea set probably more extravagant than the next one. That was far scarier. Nodding slowly she conceded.

"Okay, I will keep the gold tea set. It is a very nice tea set."

Nibbling on the shortbread some more she went to grab another changing the subject towards his Father. If Dorian wanted to discuss sex perhaps they can speak about the consequences of sex, and how it involved his Father. Raven wanted to share with her friend what that man told her that one night< She was curious, she wanted to understand if she should really heed his words or not.

"Your Father popped into our kitchen one day. We were talking and he decided to tell me that I was going to have not one, but two children and then he decided to suddenly poof away! Is he always like this and how in the world would he even know such a thing."
