Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

Henry had expected to duck down the hall and hastily grab the tent and sleeping bag. Instead, he ran smack into Sterling's chest with a humph. It took him a moment to realize that he had run into him, the shock of the collision having taken it's toll on him. "I'm sorry. I was just trying to leave quickly to give you your space." The last thing he wanted was to be a burden on Sterling. He had only come here for a shower and the tent, having decided a long time ago that he wouldn't ask to stay. Sterling and Henry were no longer a couple. It killed Henry to know this fact, but there was little else he could do to change the past.

However, when Sterling began to speak, offering him a place to stay until he got his license, Henry took a step back, shaking his head. "I can't accept that sort of generosity." It wasn't really pride that was making him turn down the generous offer, but more that he didn't want to cause the other any more pain.

He sighed as he slowly lowered the duffle of what little clothing and belongings he had left. He looked up to Sterling, his blue eyes searching for the matching pair. "Look, I fucked up...I hurt you. I don't want to hurt you further by living here for a week or two." And he was being serious and genuine. He had been a horrible boyfriend and he was beginning to see that Sterling deserved so much more than he could give. "I'll be fine in the tent." Well, that probably wasn't true. He'd be freezing and hungry, living off of sandwiches and chips. It definitely wasn't the life he wanted for himself, but he'd do it if it meant preventing Sterling from any further pain. After all, he still loved Sterling. He still wanted the man to be happy. Hurting him was like getting stabbed a million times with a knife. He was slowly bleeding out because of the pain and trauma he caused. There was no way in hell he'd intentionally increase Sterling's pain.
